Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I have no problems getting Mejia out there against their 6-9 hitters who have about a .200 combined batting average. Then get Rogers or Parker to face the heart of the lineup.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 The excitement when the 9.39 relief comes in.Stick with the front side of the baseball card at this time of the season. He's a distinctive looking fellow anyway.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Taylor Rodgers, to me right now is our only Quality arm in the pen, Hope the others come around, Hey wheres Addison Reed? = Joke
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 It's almost like that is why he was signed!Sage
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Maybe the rain has made him less flammable tonight. Is that sarcasm or passive aggressive?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Is that sarcasm or passive aggressive?Borderline Dad Joke, IMO.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Welp, the computer battery is running low, and so is this east coast denizen come to think of it. G'night all - bring this win home for me.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 b-r.com offers "splits" for any pitcher's season. Here's Odo's for this season so far:https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.fcgi?id=odorija01&year=2019&t=p Scroll down to "By Inning", and maybe linger on some of the other delights on your way there. Four first inning runs in 3 games. Scoreless seconds and thirds, in 2 games. A run in two fourths. Three runs in two fifths. His page for 2018, with greater sample size of course, demonstrates a 3-inning pitcher to my eye.But the 3 innings take 2 hours to play, so you can’t really say his starts are short.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Lol he swings at what was clearly ball 3, hits a bullet, and hits into a DP. Baseball is tough
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Big, BIG bats coming up next.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 That DP was set up by Rosario's ability to hold the previous batter to a single. It's the little things.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Lol he swings at what was clearly ball 3, hits a bullet, and hits into a DP. Baseball is tough Just like they drew it up on the touchscreen of their newfangled cybermetric machine...
wabene Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 You gotta play em if you want em to play good
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I hope Polanco plays like this forever.
Twodogs Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Mejia seems like he is all over the place?
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Mejia = Better to be lucky than good sometines
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Just like they drew it up on the touchscreen of their newfangled cybermetric machine...LaBombo - Please...We discussed this last night. It's an analytical, data driven approach designed to provide quantitative analysis. It's not newfangled.
wabene Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I really thought we'd be missing the D at 1st but Cron is a ballplayer
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Let's get some insurance runs.
David HK Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Hmmm. This game seems to be out of the regular pattern:1) starter cruises for a bit, then implodes2) offense has 1 big inning, then tries to hold on, usually gives the team a lead, solid or precarious3) the bullpen candidate for s*ck-du jour enters, gives up the lead4) no chicken It looks like a promising 9th so far- but when will there be a guy (maybe only Rogers at present), who when entering the game, the fans don't go, "omg, not this guy..." C'mon, Blake.C'mon, Twinks.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I ate my chicken dinner before the game. I was that confident.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I really thought we'd be missing the D at 1st but Cron is a ballplayer Cron's provided better defense than I expected along with worse hitting than I hoped for. The same could be said for Schoop.
