bighat Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Dude, that was a sure fire out if the Twins challenge that play. Odorizzi picked Galvis off first base, no question.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 And that's why you challenge that call. Would have been out of the inning instead of down 1-0.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 And now the electronic strike zone is back. Alas.

wavedog Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Not sure why you don’t score from 2nd on that hit but maybe gunshy from last night. Plus pitcher is struggling.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 So Thornton isn't exactly firing bullets out there tonight.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I’m putting my kids down to bed and can’t listen. Game day makes Thorton look like he has no idea where the pitch is going. How’s it look on TV?

How’s it look on TV?Pretty much that. He isn't throwing it to the backstop or anything but the ball is all around the zone.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I'll never forget the last thing my grandpa said before he kicked the bucket."Hey sonny, how far do you think I can kick this bucket?" When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandpa did. Not yelling and screaming like the folks in the back seat of the car he was driving.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 It’s not easy to only get 2 runs with 3 hits and a walk.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Odo seems to have better command for his curveball than he typically does. Solid outing so far. Lineup is going to put up 6+ runs, mark my words.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Did I really just hear "Smaok is the best Blue Jay, and has been for a few years?" Dude was worth 2.3 WAR, and 3.5 WAR the past two years. Before that, he was never over 1.5, with one of them being negative WAR. Not even close to the best Blue Jay in recent years.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Move Odorizzi to the 'pen, bring up Graterol!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Agree on the runs, not on Odo. He may have curve ball command but his pitch count is already waaaay too high. He won't last more than 5+ innings. More likely 4 plus a fall part 5th. Agree his pitch count is pretty high, but it happens when you are getting strikeouts. Also, Polanco might be the toughest out in baseball right now.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I'll be the first to admit I was never a huge Polanco believer but he is locked in right now.
