3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? I searched for "Twins Ticket Contests" and the Gleeman and the Geek giveaway came up.

4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? JV Baseball; Beer-League Softball; Currently coaching 1st graders.

5.) Favorite Twins Player, and favorite underappreciated Twins player, and if you want, favorite current Twins player? Favorite of all time- Hrbek. Favorite underappreciated - Newman (when I worked at a Twins' radio affiliate, he asked me "Which way to the potty?" and won my heart.) Current - Eddie (my son's name, but not after Rosario, at least if you ask my wife.)

6.) Favorite non-Twins Daily site/authors? I don't play favorites.

7.) Favorite Twitter follows? I just search for the hashtag #mntwins during games.

1.) Where are you from? I'm from Austin, Tx and lived in Houston and Kansas City. My family just recently relocated to Winchester, UK for my wife's job.

2.) Age Range? 33

3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? I used to frequent Seth Speaks and Aaron Gleeman and jumped on board when I heard they were making a new site.

4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? Little league, I was a bit of a slow developer and got into baseball too late so I mainly rode the bench for a year when I was 12.

5.) Favorite Twins Player, and favorite underappreciated Twins player, and if you want, favorite current Twins player? Kirby Puckett of course. Not sure why but I always liked Boof Bonser, not sure if he qualifies as under rated though. Current favorite Twin is Buxton.

11.) Have you been to any of the Twins Daily "events?" No, I only make it to MN every few years to see family, now that I'm over seas it will probably be a while

Just an update to the yarnivek household. I’m pretty sure I mentioned that Mrs yarnivek and I began fostering a 16 year old girl about a year ago. We just found out our adoption finalization hearing will be June 25!

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations! We are also adopting on July 18th.

It has been a rather hellish two years to get to this point and I cannot wait to get past that date so I can tell the entire foster system to go pound sand.

1.) Where are you from? I grew up in Maple Grove, went to college at Winona State, and now live in Rochester (MN)

2.) Age Range? 30

3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? Better and more coverage of all aspects of Twins baseball than any other site I have found

4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? Pitched at Winona State for 4 years (Go Warriors!)

5.) Favorite Twins Player, and favorite underappreciated Twins player, and if you want, favorite current Twins player? Favorite Twins player is Johan by a mile. Tried to make it to the Dome whenever he was pitching to watch in person. The crowd noise would grow with each strike, and then explode when someone whiffed badly at his change up for strike 3. Favorite underappreciated Twin is tougher. Does Joe Mauer count (is he underappreciated at this point?) I remember telling friends of mine when I was in 8th grade or so that I thought Kyle Lohse would win a Cy Young during his career (7th in 2012!) I wish he had figured it out with the Twins. Favorite current player is Kepler.

6.) Favorite non-Twins Daily site/authors? I was a huge Grantland fan, and I stop by the Ringer occasionally. Ben Lindberg's new book is outstanding, as is most everything he writes. Jonah Keri also is a very talented writer regarding baseball, but he is not someone I will be supporting moving forward.

7.) Favorite Twitter follows? Pitching Ninja, Kyle Boddy, Trevor Bauer, Nick Nelson, Eric Sim, Adam Jones, Rex Chapman, Mark Titus

8.) Other interests outside of baseball? Chasing my daughter around, playing golf/basketball/football, reading

9.) Favorite part of Twins Daily... forums, blogs, articles, topics... whatever you like. It is hard to find comment sections on the internet with the level of respect TD has fostered. I really enjoy engaging with the members of TD who comment on posts because, generally, it is productive and constructive. That is a large reason why I come to the site and leave comments like this one.

10.) Tell us what we can do better. What features or other topics would you like to see in-season or out of season? I take an annual trip with some friends of my from high school/college/work to see the Twins play on the road with the goal of making it to all 29 other cities. In fact, I will be in Miami next week. I would be really interested in a blog with other people's experiences in various stadiums and cities, things to do at the stadium, seat recommendations, that sort of thing.

11.) Have you been to any of the Twins Daily "events?" No, I did not know they occurred

We have a large contingent in Spring Training in Fort Myers every year! It’s great!

Glad I had the privilege Carole! I tentatively have decided to go to Spring Training next spring. We should do some kind of meetup down there next year.

Looking at the orchestra schedule, ST for me is likely going to be the week before games start (report to camp week) and maybe the final week. Haven't planned that far out yet.

3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? Attended my first baseball game in over 15 years to watch the Minnesota Twins beat the Anaheim Angels (8 - 3) on Tuesday, May 21st, 2019 in Anaheim. 4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? My twin brother once called me the Whiff King in our neighborhood field games and I never outgrew it. But, every so often, when I got a hit, those moments were memorable and sometimes, monumental.

5.) Favorite Twins Player, and favorite underappreciated Twins player, and if you want, favorite current Twins player? Byron Buxton, Byron Buxton and Byron Buxton.  His name stuck after the game and I have heard he is the fastest man in baseball - I like that. Hopeful he will return to 100% health.

Has the ST schedule been announced or leaked yet?

Not that I know of but work has me in Florida early Feb this year. I’ll take the following week off but that is still too early for games to be started. Just a general guess based on how it always is.

Born in Washington DC, grew up in Maryland and Mississippi.  Been in Texas  (DFW area) ever since college except for a brief 2 year stay in SoCal for Graduate School at Pepperdine.  So yes, nowhere remotely near Minnesota yet I have been a huge Minnesota sports fan my entire life.

We are going down the last week of February, so I am hoping action has started by then. I think it should...

Days later.

This makes me about No. 179.

Should anyone actually get this far and read it, drop me a note. Appreciated.

1.  Madison, WI (Yes, as you might expect -- Go Badgers, Go Pack.) Now living in Plymouth, MN..

2. 77 last Saturday. Started following baseball around '49. A color baseball  card, drawing of of Joe DiMaggio, got me started.

3.  Browsing. Looking for more Twins info than the Strib offers. Came here from Wisconsin in 2002, didn't give a hoot about the Twins (or the Brewers for that matter) but caught on because, along with the Saints, they're the only game in town. I'm stuck with 'em.

4.  Played baseball from around 8 to 15; then fast pitch softball through high school, U.S. Navy and in Madison recreation leagues, average level of competition 4th best league in a range of dozens. Never hit over .250 in any of them but as a catcher when there were few others who wanted to play it, I was tolerated annually.

5.  Joe Mauer, Eduardo Escobar, Max Kepler, Luis Arraez, Taylor Rogers.

6,  NA, radio and TV.

7.  Don't do Twitter. Did Face for a while to keep track of my son and his family but dropped out over a year ago. They asked me why, I said "I don't like the way you're doing things." Don't miss btw not doing any social media. This is close as I come.

8.  Guitar (novice), motorcycles (veteran), house cats (2), aforementioned Badger football and basketball, the Pack in third place, politics (at times when I can stand it).

9.  All of it; most, anyway.

10. Keep it positive. Help pull the Twins through to the playoffs.

11. No.
