  1. Sorry, but I feel Kepler gets too much love. Has hit above .245 one season in his whole career and 1-19 in postseason ABs. Why exactly is he not expendable? Him and Sano I think are part of the problem as guys we should mention are holding this team back in addition to the others.
  2. Just throwing it out there, but what about signing JD Martinez to something like a 3 yr / $70M deal and putting him at 1B? That'd save about 7-8 mil (compared to a theoretical signing of Rendon) to spend on starting pitching.
  3. I've never seen someone strikeout so much. Sano drives me nuts. But Garver's trying to to single handedly will this team to a win. Pitching has been really good the past 3 games too, hoping that continues (knock on wood).
  4. Kepler bails the team out! Sat and waited for the ball to get back in the zone and hammered it to left center. Thata boy Max!
  5. That Cron at bat was an example of a perfect bunt situation. A few years ago, that would've been a bunt call from the manager and likely moved the runners up, tying the game on Cave's grounder. Makes me miss small ball a little bit.
  6. Once again Sano close to an automatic K with 2 strikes on him.
  7. Still bewildered how Falvine failed to make a move for a starting pitcher at the deadline.
  8. Don't get me wrong, Sano has alot of value to this club, but he's virtually an automatic strikeout if he gets 2 strikes on him.
  9. Anybody else hear Bert breathing heavily into the headset in between pitches? Driving me nuts. I really wish this would be his last season with FSN.
  10. I think the scouting report is out on Twins hitters. They can't hit breaking balls. Any pitcher that has confidence in their curveball and is willing to throw a steady dose of them has a high chance of having success against our lineup.

  12. Ok, Kiriloff with another run of the mill night going 4-4. Would love to see him in the Arizona Fall League and he really should be starting the 2019 season in Chattanooga.
  13. Kirilloff needs to be at AA. Sure, he's riding a hot streak, but he also has 18 hits in his last 29 ABs with low K rate. (He's also gotten 9 hits in his last 11). That's not a fluke... he's not being challenged. It's a waste of time to have him in Ft. Myers at this point.
  14. Yeah I know it "compromises the integrity of the sport" but now that there is zero chance at the playoffs I would absolutely not mind if the twins just kept sliding ala 2016 for Adley Rutchmann. We badly need a catcher and I find it hard to not buy into the fact that Rutchmann is going to be the best catcher in the big show for years to come. Cannon for an arm, good defense behind the plate, and one of the best college bats you'll ever see (from both sides of the plate). *That being said, the chance of playing poorly enough to get a top 2 pick is next to impossible.
  15. Unpopular opinion: Lewin Diaz isn't a top 20 prospect. Extremely excited for Kirilloff to hopefully get the call up to FTM soon! He's been raking and deserves it. Also nice to see Arraez heating up in FTM right now. He's had great success every year in the minors thus far in his young career. Nice to see him getting that feel back.
  16. I like the pick! Larnach is a really really good hitter who can swing the stick for both average and power. Let's just hope he doesn't have success this weekend and that this is his last weekend playing college baseball.
  17. I'd go college arm with the players left on the board. Either Kowar or McClanahan sound like great options right now.
  18. Not much of a Rolison fan. Would rather we not take him.
  19. Praying that either Singer or Liberatore somehow stay on the board for our pick. That would be HUGE.
  20. If Sano wasn't 300 pounds he would've gotten to that ball.
  21. I was 100% joking, I agree with ya. Even as painful as this is to watch I'm not even sure I'd bring up Wade or Gordon quite yet although they are going to be knocking on the door very very soon (like within the next few months). To play devils advocate though, the Braves are bringing the young guys up and fast tracking with a lot of success right now. Additionally, the Red Sox brought Devers, Bogaerts, Mookie, and Benintendi up as 20-21 y/o's and that hasn't seemed to affect their young careers thus far. So I guess it can't be said for certain that its a bad idea. (Although again, I agree with you in that Lewis/AK are at least 14-24 months out still)
  22. Can we bring up Kiriloff Lewis Gordon Wade and Rooker RIGHT NOW and boot any pick 5 players not named Kepler or Rosario out of the lineup? Haha, asking for a friend... It'd at least make for a lineup that wouldn't put people to sleep. *Sidenote: How would you like to be one of our starting pitchers knowing if you give up more than a run there's a very good chance you'll take the loss on your record. And on the flip, knowing you could go 6-7 scoreless innings and not earn the W.
  23. It's official, the Twins have the most anemic and boring to watch offense in the MLB.
  24. Agreed. He is extraordinary defensively but if Buxton keeps proving he can't be a serviceable big league hitter I think that leaves the door open if Wade takes advantage of an opportunity/opening in the next few years. If Wade proves himself in the next few years and Buxton never gets it going it isn't out of the realm of possibility that Buxton soon becomes a 4th outfielder or gets sent packing. Too much talent coming up in the outfield between Kiriloff and Wade for Buxton to keep stumbling over the next year or two.
  25. Not the nicest thing to say but Robbie Grossman is almost worthless to this team. He really provides nothing of value other then just being an extra body.
