They traded for the future last year, the same people who’s say do it this year, hated last years sell off. Come on out doomser boomers. There is no tomorrow Ryan’s cooked lol, it’s all over. Don’t buy tickets or spend a dime. Oh wait, we already don’t. Go Twins, let’s rebound again, if to only silence the haters.

I think they made two mistakes in last year’s sell off.

1) Outman

2) Not taking the Boston trade for Joe Ryan

That was disgusting. Getting waxed by Dobnak? Don't even get me started about Buxton going IL for the bazillionth time.

What did they trade for Outman? What was the offer for Ryan?

Dobnak in my top 5 least favorite Twins ever.

Ugh.

Other than being injured and eventually getting surgery on a finger I believe, what did he do to arouse your ire?

They traded Brock Stewart for Outman. That’s a pretty easy google search.

The articles this week said the offer was Tolle and Abreu for Joe Ryan.

Dobnak was on a mission tonight and I think he got the results he wanted. Too bad he couldn't put it together like this while he was here.

If I am remembering correctly, Dobnak had some type of middle finger injury that affected his ability to throw his sinker.

If I need to google search who Outman was traded for… I know who he was traded for. It was a expiering relief pitcher that most figured was a ticking time bomb health wise.  Not sure why you don’t like that type of trade. And the Ryan trade, well you got the offer incorrect as reported. A simple google search would help you next time. Ya think?

We haven't homered since the Cleveland series. I'm not denying the offensive struggles. I think that the the offense needs a jolt and calling up Jenkins when Buxton went on the IL might have provided that jolt for the Twins offense.

Not to worry - they called up Tristan Gray and they continue to believe in Roden who is almost up to his lifetime 191 average.  Call up some young studs - Walker, Gonzales, Culpepper.  Give Wallner another chance.  This is ridiculous management of prospects and roster.

I suspect other teams are looking at the Ryan record this year and in past years after the all-star game.  His second half fade does not make him look like a smart pickup for a team wanting to boost their end of the year record.

Try discussing in good faith instead of trolling.

Dunno. No explanation. Can't stand the very sight of him.

And last night just confirmed my totally reasonable and logical opinion.

I knew there had to be a good reason, which is why I asked.  I always learn something useful at this site.

3) Selling Varland right before his breakout with a ton of team control

Stewart still had 2 years of arb left on his deal. And while I agree that they were right to trade Stewart while he had some value, I would have much preferred a lottery ticket than an incredibly questionable rehab project. And this isn't from hindsight, many of us were complaining about that right after the trade happened.

Owe that’s rich coming from a troll. Everything I do is done in faith. That is all good. Wow,, great advice that you won’t take yourself. Common theme I am finding here on Twins Daily. The aggressive, hatred of another member with over 6,000 plus posts, being rude, loud and wrong. Take your own advice before giving someone else advice please. Good day.

I’m with ya, I just accept it knowing my input isn’t going to manifest itself into the decision making process. But the responsible party for making those trades is no longer in the organization.

Shut out by the two worst pitching staffs in the AL in the last week. I don't think there should a sell off like last year but some trades for the future need to be done. If its a trade that also helps this year great, but don't mortgage the future for this year.

I think they should be looking rotation with Rojas.

I agree. Doesn’t look like they are doing it this year but maybe next year?
