What if we worked from the front to the back? Like we picked teams in sandlot. List our best 40 players we want next year. I shouldn't have said sandlot, we picked our family and friends first, most often.

Taj's biggest problem that landed him back in AAA was that he was not studying scouting reports or hitter's data. When the Twins got him, all that improved, and so did he.

Just throwing this out there, do the Twins have any leverage at this point to trade Jeffers, similar to what we had at the trade deadline?

A 1.8 million insurance policy (Jackson) is not a bad deal with the uncertainty of our catching position.

Allen Roden is a jack of all trades, and a master of none.

Besides losing Duran and Varland, both first MLB Award relievers, that was the beginning of the end for this year. The other trades are working out slowly but surely.

Martin, Larnach, and Roden are all sub-par for a winning team. Not even good off the bench, we have better now.

Roden reminds me of a Larnach 2.0. Hits with limited power or speed. With our new generation of wheels coming up, Roden will just be another base clogger.

Never refer to a hopeful pitcher with; "Breaking Down" in the same headline. It can Quickly become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

To TR: Can he play SS with the Twins right out of the gate, especially if he looks strong in ST? What's your take on maybe promoting him after six months in AAA, after the Twins have bought or traded for another infielder? Thanks.

Houston's bat is secondary. His glove is the plus. What he does with the bat will be a bonus. Plus, he's got wheels.

And Houston with 130 less plate appearances, stole 12 more bases, had 4 more runs, more walks, more hits, more doubles, higher batting average and on base percentage compared to one of the best in baseball. I think Houston is ready. Look at who we played in the infield last year, it was a joke!

If someone was called up that was going to be the best hitter on the team, why not do it with the best glove, that can hold his own with the bat? The Twins have promoted with exactly the opposite criteria (Wallner).

Maybe the Twins could pull a 'Butch Wynegar' and bring Lackey up right out of the gate, after spring training.

If Houston made our team right out of spring training, it would make things a lot simpler, more affordable, and we would not have to give up any trade assets for a short term rental. Our infield would/could be: Lee 3B; Houston SS; Culpepper 2B; Clemens 1B; with Kreidler as our super utility supported by Lewis (if he is retained). If we have to trade for or sign a free agent first baseman or second baseman to hold the fort for just six months waiting for Houston to move up, would be a waste. After Houston moves up, what do we do with the new player? If we don’t need to invest in another infielder, it would also free up money to use towards relief pitching.

I would like the Twins to keep Bell. He was born to DH, he's affordable, and he fits in well in the clubhouse. I don't like the idea of DH by committee. I would like to see a consistent batting and fielding lineup.
