  1. With Lewis and Lee at the corners, that could be a pretty strong infield, fielding and hitting.
  2. If you were captain and choosing sides in a pick-up game, who would you choose next? Larnach or Jenkins. I believe Culpepper has laid down the blueprint for Jenkins.
  3. Funderburk was having a very good year, but his pitching went south shortly after his first child was born (April 20). He turned things around in July.
  4. Immediately after his wedding (Nov. 14) he and his new bride should pack to start their honeymoon in one of the winter leagues to get real time outfield experience.
  5. BTW, Buxton never made it to the finish line for that series, he did not play.
  6. Arraez would sure look good at 2B for us right now. Relatively affordable too. Oh well...
  7. All those lost one run games, shoulda, coulda, woulda, didn't. Imagine if?
  8. Just curious, I wonder what the Twins record is with Buxton in the lineup since he came back after his first stint on the IL.
  9. My observation was, no one ever hung around him in the dugout.
  10. Hope this means that Jeffers has "inkled" an intention to stay with the Twins. Are they keeping their cards close to their vest?
  11. As hard as he throws, it must be arm fatigue. 😁 Could there be Knuckleball in his future?
  12. Why is it we always hear about the bat? How's his glove?
  13. So, within the Twins Organization, who is the savant/Yoda that has masterminded these transformations? He could become the Twins MVP!
  14. Speaking of ice cold, Lee has ice in his veins, coming through in the clutch numerous of times.
  15. If the team knew of Joe's history of second half struggles, If anyone is to blame, it is the training staff. As I mentioned in a comment when his arm first "got tired", I said it was his legs. Just like a boxer's legs are the first thing to go, so it is with almost any athlete. One of the most durable pitchers of all time Bert Blyleven ran, and he ran, and he ran.
  16. I'm going to pile on; the headline is unfair to Joe.
  17. Baseball is a game that's supposed to be fun! Too bad some coaches, parents, and players from t-ball and up forget that.
