Royals 4, Twins 0: An Old Friend Acts Foe-ish
Ricky Vaughn replied to Cory Moen's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Shut out by the two worst pitching staffs in the AL in the last week. I don't think there should a sell off like last year but some trades for the future need to be done. If its a trade that also helps this year great, but don't mortgage the future for this year.- 66 replies

About the least of this teams worries. They can always pinch hit for Kreidler if the situation calls for it. Bring Culpepper up in couple weeks if they think he is ready, or pick up a good utility player if they think another player that can play shortstop is necessary.

Would the Twins Be Better Off Trading Royce Lewis?
Ricky Vaughn replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Agree for the most part. If they trade I hope its to a National league team. Just in case he rediscovers his lost hit tool. If he does I can see him making the Twins life he_ _ every chance he gets. -
looking for the bright spot here. Young only struck out once. Progress

How Soon Could Vahn Lackey Reach the Majors?
Ricky Vaughn replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
I don't think the Twins brass are being conservative with top prospects. The reason its taking them longer to get there is they are all repeatably hurt. If Lackey takes care of business and stays healthy, he will be up late 27 early 28.- 46 replies

How exactly have the twins aggressively challenged Tait. He was in A+ ball when acquired and the Twins placed him in A+ ball where he still is. He is doing worse overall this year, so far. Which tells me the Twins are probably screwing him up like they seem to do so often.

It's Time to Start Worrying About Dasan Hill
Ricky Vaughn replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
He's still only 20 years old. Don't know if it still holds but the consensuses wisdom used to be that left handed pitchers generally take longer to develop. -
So, Was the Falvey Era a Success?
Ricky Vaughn replied to Matthew Taylor's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
For may of those years the Twins were the only team in the central really trying to compete. So winning a couple division titles was not a sign of success. -
Under Falvey pitching development was better. However position player development fell off a cliff.

They've also proven you can't do it alone, which is why even a 99th percentile outcome for Jenkins (first-ballot Hall of Famer, like Mauer) would require others above him on this list to support the cause. Not to be picky but this statement makes no sense for someone ranked #1.

Why the Twins Didn't Sign Luis Arraez
Ricky Vaughn replied to Greggory Masterson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Not sure if signing him is a good idea or not. There's not really a place for him to play other than DH. But didn't he play with a bad thumb last year? That could explain a lot of his struggles in 25. -
I have nothing against Bell, hes ok if used properly. As long hes hitting in the bottom half of the line up and is the dh at least 1/2the time. My problem is after the trade deadline last year the message was we're going to get more athletic, faster, more aggressive, and a better fielding team. How does this move advance that plan?

Twins Add Catching Depth with Early Offseason Swap
Ricky Vaughn replied to John Bonnes's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Its not the trade of Eeles, I know he will never be anything but light hitting utility player at best. Why would anyone trade for a catcher who hits a buck fifty and pay him 1.8 mil. If thats what they had in mind why not bring back Vazquez. -
Twins Add Catching Depth with Early Offseason Swap
Ricky Vaughn replied to John Bonnes's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Underwhelmed -
I don't see the comparison. The Pirates have been winning 65-75 games a year for what. the last 15 years . They compare more with the St Louis Browns. The Twins have a way to go before reaching that level.

My guess is the Twins will hire The manager of their Dominican summer league team as manager and a former cricket player from India as bench coach, in a bid to find an underutilized resource that displays Joe Poulad's visionary leadership.
