  1. Ouch. 3 runs with 7 doubles has gotta be extremely rare…
  2. For what it's worth, he seems to be at his seat by the dugout most games until the end.
  3. A few other random thoughts: - We left 12 runners on base. That Clemens near homer, and Lee's baserunning blunders, bugged me all game (until it didn't!). - Speaking of Kody, that might've been the worse challenge of the season on the 3-0 call. Clearly a strike. The ump was missing calls all night - thankfully, he got the strike 3 call right on the 3-2 count in the 8th (which was huge). Having that final challenge could've been critical. - I'm glad we didn't have to bring in Paredes in the 10th. - Keaschall made a very nice running catch in the 9th!
  4. He wasn't setting the league on fire or anything, but he only had 38 plate appearances in 12 games with the Twins before the thumb injury. To your point, though: I remember not being blown away upon first look. But yes, he was huge last night. That walk-off celebration was 🔥Dude was pumped - as he should be: That might've been the best all-around at-bat of the Twins' season. I will have to tell my family no spoilers this afternoon. Am I the only one who turns off notifications during the work day to watch afternoon games on replay on the MLB.TV after work? It gets tricky sometimes in this day and age but it can be done.
  5. It's his throwing shoulder so I know it's not good, but how bad of an injury is this? Pretty vague, so too soon to tell? I wonder if Raya was going to be sent down anyway when Bailey came up. Or Adams, I suppose. Next man up!
  6. Sure, why not? Anyway, I just love that this is a legitimate question less than a week from the All-Star break! I wish I could read all the hot takes from the past six months (and beyond) ripping on the entire organization that are starting to age like milk. And, no, I'm not Tom Pohlad! ;)
  7. In hindsight, they should've challenged that bang-bang play at first on Fedko's debut in Texas. Thought he looked safe. They showed his mom right before that pleading for a hit. 🙃 Anyway, hope he keeps his head up. He did come up big taking third on the walk-off win against the Rockies. And he's got an RBI (against a position player haha). He'll always have that... Sounds like a fun night at the ballpark!
  8. I felt very seen and got a chuckle out of a tweet saying that the Varland, Jax, Duran combo would've lost this game. I believe it... This pen is always going to be an adventure and work in progress, but outside of the near disaster against Colorado, has been pretty solid the past couple weeks. Props!
  9. Attention, TD crew: there’s still room on the Kody Clemens is an All-Star Bandwagon. Leaving the station soon though. Hop on!
  10. I get the frustration but I'm so over this talking point. What if we don't pick up Kody and Kreidler though? What if Lou was still pitching for the Twins but got hit by a liner on his pitching hand on April 15? So on and so forth. Sh*t happens. Let's move forward. The bullpen is holding its own right now. And, hey everyone - this team as constructed has the chance to be in first place by the All-Star break!
  11. Trevor Plouffe: "He should be an All-Star." Whose word do I take?🤣
  12. For what it's worth, per Aaron Gleeman, Shelton said Jeffers will be in Triple A for "at least the next three or four days."
  13. I dunno. Probably giving Fedko a chance to start in CF since we're facing a lefty tonight. Bring up Jeffers and platoon Kreidler/Roden in CF until Buck comes back. Hope you're all ready for more Tristan Gray (I think I'm his lone supporter on here). Unless they decide to bring Arcia back up.
  14. True. In any event, he's just a couple hours away. They could call him up any day now.
  15. My guess is he's back right after the break Fedko's days are numbered...that would give Jeffers and the Twins 3 weeks to showcase him before the deadline.
  16. How do they go about replacing starters? Wonder if Kody Clemens is a potential replacement (not as a starter, of course)? Gotta imagine Shelton has some sway since he's on the coaching staff.
  17. Well, at least more than he has 🤷‍♂️
  18. Saw this coming after he left the game Sunday, but yeah, a bummer. Hopefully it's a quick IL stint - miss only six games but get 11 or so days off. But this lineup is strong enough to still have a winning series, and I'm looking forward to seeing Roden. And maybe this means Fedko can finally get that first hit;)
  19. I remember Vic hit his first homer in over a month in his first game starting in Jeffers’ place back in May. Was a sign of things to come apparently. Love watching him handle the pitchers & his fist pumps into his glove when he likes what he sees 👊🏼
  20. Fully anticipating some (many!) thumbs down for this, but I like what Tom Pohlad has done so far, given how late he came into the job. I think he gets it. Now, full disclosure: I have no clue what the best route to take is at the moment. But, you know, Tom said in spring training that this team was going to be competitive. Most fans (and Twins beat writers, podcasters, etc.) snickered and rolled their eyes. 90 games in, he's largely been proven right.
  21. Andrew Morris has flat out been huge for this team - key roles in a bunch of wins lately, Saved the season with the 10th inning performance against Colorado & came up clutch in all 3 appearances this week, Cool customer. Bright future!
  22. Gotcha, yeah, makes sense. That whole sequence was weird, followed by Bell’s oppo single that was almost a homer/robbed.
  23. Did he try to steal earlier in Kody’s at-bat? I forget…but the fact that Austin didn’t try going from third made me wonder if Buxton went on his own.
