Well, one thing we have seen several times this season, is an absolutely dormant offense in the deep freeze for 7 innings, and they suddenly wake up in the 8th. 

At this stage, it’s really up to the pitching to keep them in the game for a few more innings.

Just because they beat Toronto in an added round doesn't mean it was a successful year. It's like a big 10 team winning a playin game in March madness.

Ending the most embarrassing streak in sports history counts for something. But now it gives this regime at least two more years and we aren't winning anything more than this as long as they're in charge. So it's kind of a steep price to pay.

I'm way too old and set in my baseball ways, to grasp what we're doing here. I don't like it. I can see doing a bullpen game a few times during the regular season. I can't see doing it in a playoff game...and in a elimination game for us.

Houston is beatable because of their starting pitching. Their lineup is light years better but it’s very disappointing that the only guy we’ve knocked around was valdez

This is a good point. 

A 3-1 game, even in the 9th, is within reach. It doesn't feel like it right now, but at least we might see Bux come up with a chance for drama. Sure, it probably won't end well....but if the Astros tack on some runs, most of us don't even watch the 9th.

One positive for next year is Paddack looks like he's come back from surgery pretty good.

He's got reverse splits with the changeup and has been efficient and good.

OK--a very good inning for Paddock. Lets do some damage in the 5th. Play every inning like its your last.  Twins could still pull an upset, but they need to get some hits. Somehow.

It'll be different as a starter, but maybe he'll be the #2 to Lopez next year.

That could be a good top of the rotation.

Yup, Paddack looks like he’s ‘on’ and someone needs to provide some length tonight at some point

Jeffers has been horrific this series. Honestly if he doesn't get a hit here I think Rocco has to pinch hit for him (as long as a righty is throwing) his next AB.
