Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 There’s absolutely no way they still fine players for giving up hits on 0-2 counts. These guys would be penniless USAFChief 1

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 All we need is Paddock to go 3-4 clean innings, and Rocco might be a Genius ?

Just an inept move Hell one of his plans was Paddack who hasnt even been trusted all post season. And pitched like 3 innings all year This is comically bad. Too bad the Twins didn't take your application and resume more seriously.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 1 minute ago, RickOShea said: Just a quick thought. How do you rationalize or explain if the Twins should win this game, and continue to have success. What's your alternative to 'never'.? I'm not saying you're wrong, but interested in your thought process. I'm not sure how to answer a theoretical. Routinely managing games this way is asking for it to blow up in your face. If you use 6 relievers on purpose, chances are one of them is going to have an off night. Managing a play-off game totally different than the other 162 is foolish. Short leash is one thing, this is another. Didn't work for the Blue Jays, didn't work tonight. And if it somehow does, the exhausted pen will probably bite them in game 5.

bighat Verified Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 The question is will the Twins set a record for strikeouts in a playoff game? Urquidy goes 9 and strikes out 20 Twins maybe?

Other than the brushback to Alvarez in the first, there doesn’t seem to be a plan of attack tonight, as far as how to pitch to these guys, granted they are top tier lineup

If they don't win this series they have been eliminated in the same round they're always eliminated in. Just because they beat Toronto in an added round doesn't mean it was a successful year.
