Yeah, Minaya is the only guy left with more than one save. Sisk and Schulfer are the only guys with upside.

I’d try them too. They just bought their “veteran leadership”, they can do without Duffey and Pagan now.

Something you'd like to share with the group, Ag? Get it off your chest?

I know that sounded weird but you wouldn’t enjoy that

It is a friendly thing to keep Duffey and Pagan around while sending Cotton and Moran away. Maybe reality will change that circumstance soon. Pagan? Like I have mentioned previously, the Padres were enamored and afraid of him and so considered releasing him before the Twins arrived with Rogers and cash in hand all excited about Paddack. Preller agreed to send Paddack if the Twins took Pagan. He has a great arm but we can see the sad results ourselves now. Moran had options so it was understandable to send him down, especially because he struggles with throwing strikes. Still better than the bombs given up as a routine by Duffey and Pagan. Baseball is really tough and I would think the Twins have seen enough of those two guys.

It's one thing to battle and lose a close game.  Even though a loss is still a loss, regardless, at least have some pride for Chrissakes!

Not the best night by the new and improved bullpen.

Nothing so far tonight is due to the "new and Improved" part of the pen.

I'm much more concerned about the top of the Twins lineup.  Arraez is in his first slump of the season, and Buxton and Correa are really struggling with the bat.  A rookie is the most potent offensive threat right now.  Pitching help won't matter if that doesn't change.

Is it just plain pride (Pagan) and misplaced loyalty (Duffey) by the front office that both still have jobs in the bullpen?

Time to cut bait and DFA both!

Moran deserves a spot.

What is Cotton or Smith's status after being released?  Either of them, more likely Cotton as he can pitch multiple innings, would be an improvement.

This front office is meticulous, this is totally something they micromanage.

I won't believe that unless it's a direct quote from Baldelli or Falvine.

That's not their job nor their expertise.

And if it is true, they should be fired before sun up.

Yeah well, you can’t expect them to score 9 runs, this bullpen will suck the life out of this team

I'm constantly shocked with this Megill guy. Can throw 100mph but always throwing soft curveballs just to get crushed.

Even the fastball looks straight and flat. Very little movement if any from such a tall guy

anyone else mildly disappointed with Correa’s year?

I wouldn't say disappointed, but not really impressed either.

If the Target Field fans had any cajones, they'd empty the entire place, right now.

And miss the free concert after the game? No way. If anything I bet 99% would prefer the Twins forfeit so the concert starts earlier.

We need bullpen help. ™

The back end looks good, but if they’re throwing four innings per game, the Duffey-Pagán-Megill combo is…….underwhelming.

This is like a little league team versus a high school team.  Twins can't handle the hard hit balls by the Jays.

Cleveland and Chicago both lose today so there’s that.

After one of the Twins' meltdowns against Cleveland in June, I said that the AL Central race had become the "hot potato" quest -- the contenders are doing all they can to give their opponents as many chances as possible to win it.  Even more so in August.
