  1. I thought I would mention that the twins have made an out on the first pitch in 4 or 7 innings so far today
  2. This team gets lightheaded when they get to 6 games over. They'll settle back in when they get back down to .500. Hellbent on making the remaining games with Cleveland mean everything.
  3. The way I understand it, they cut Popkins out of the hitter's meeting.
  4. I wasn't able to watch the Twins game today, but it turns out I was able to watch a Twins game with the Mariners playing the part of the Twins. (3-26 RISP in the series) On the postgame a comment was made about the Mariners pressing and "over-thinking" their at bats. Prompting me to ask myself, "What about when the coaching staff is encouraging batters to over-thing their at bats?"
  5. The blown review might have been the best thing for Twins. Otherwise they would have had the bases loaded and nobody out, and we all know how that usually turns out.
  6. I'm not sure it rates a spot on this list but I recall a game against cleveland last year (I can't recall the date) in which Joe Ryan stuck out Franmil Reyes two if not three times with high fastballs. When Pagan faced him in the late innings though, despite having more fastball than Ryan, he threw Reyes sliders until he hung one, thereby surrendering the lead.
  7. Another day another starter you've never heard of locking the Twins up first time through and beyond.
  8. I've watched 140 or so games from this team every year since 2017. I have concluded that the twins dugout must be happier than Disneyland. Guys seem like they can't wait to get back in there. What I can't figure out is how a lineup can both lead the league in strikeouts and take at bats like they're afraid of striking out. I have hope that like Smalley says "Guys will play to the back of their baseball cards". On the other hand, this is two+ years of watching this lineup get locked up by any old "joey bag o doughnuts" starter.
  9. If Patrick Corbin makes $1 per start and has a 25.00 era with 0 strikeouts and 12 walks. he'll still go perfect the first time through the Twins order. This lineup is totally clueless.
  10. 79-83 third place. Probably not bad enough to necessitate an overhaul of the coaching staff, but one can dream. At least all the guys they picked up at the deadline, save for Fulmer, are under contract through next year.
