If it gets through its probably 2 runs anyway but the pen is on fumes. We need 8 runs here and now That's not what a platinum glove winner does. He makes plays.

And I have no idea why they haven't done that yet. I'd make a sarcastic comment about Rocco and the bullpen, but I'm too sad for that today. Isn’t the long guy technically supposed to be thornburg

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Wow we haven’t had a base runner past 1st since the third inning.

I probably should've said a piggyback starter. I want a starter as a long guy after Archer. 2 arms covering the whole game basically. And Thornburg is not the guy I want for that.

SpicyGarvSauce Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Bullpen is the obvious issue...but let's talk about this lineup today since the 3rd inning.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Traumatizing stuff from the pen this year. Don't know how fans don't boo the hell out of everyone not named Duran or Jax when they hit the mound this weekend.

It's not just today. This offense has disappeared for long stretches of games, let alone innings, all year long.

Well my opinion is that they need Ober back, or call up Woods Richardson or Varland and put Archer IN the bullpen. I know he's been really good as a starter, but he'd likely be very good as a reliever, and doing so would also help with the problem the team has with him only going 4 innings.
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Does the game go to the 10th or does Cleveland end it here?
RpR Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 If this continues, it may be best if the Twins do not make the play-offs, as it could lengthen their string of losses with no win.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 What's the club record for walks in a 9 inning game? At 10 now, and could get to 13. Any bets?

The patchwork that they've been doing is past its expiration date. I know injuries have played into that, but what they're doing clearly isn't working anymore.
CRF Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Realistically...Cleve should have about 10 or 12 runs this game. This is putrid.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 35 pitches, 14 strikes. Little league stuff
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 At least make them earn it. Is that too much to ask?
Jerr Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Cleveland with 2 hits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Anyone who swings the bat for Cleveland this inning will probably be on waivers tomorrow.

SwainZag Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 I'm prepared to be hurt again. I hate the walks so much. I would much rather be beat by hits than free pass after free pass. So frustrating.
