Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 That should be it for archer. The thorn bird is gonna have to wear it. At least he’s well rested

Like you, I despise relievers walking guys. I don't like starters walking guys either. Especially by the handful.
Mortimerkenny21 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 That was not ideal..but man that could've been a lot worse!
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Yet, somehow only 1 run scored. Rather fortunate.
Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Archer upset at ball 4 call. This umpire has been more than generous with strike zone. 4 BB in 1 inning. SOP. And he's really been stretched out. I thought because Archer had no spring training he would be gradually extended. It's July. He'll get through 4 today. 53 pitches after 2 innings. Pagan efficient

The guy is rocking a career high LOB%, career low BABIP, but a hard hit rate almost identical to last year. He continues to wiggle out of these absolute blowups so I guess there's that, but it doesn't seem destined to last. IMO he's the Pagan of the starting staff and they can keep limiting him to 3-4 IP or 2x through the order but at that point you're a starter by name only.

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 So what’s the deal with Pagan. Is he a child of Billy Ball? Was he considered an undervalued player? That’s funny, his value is zero now…..I guess that means the Twins won’t have any problem trading him.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Miranda needs to come through here!!!!
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Giles Ferrell Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Miranda swinging the bat much better last couple of weeks. But, need like 10 more insurance runs with the pitching staff.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Biggest hit of Miranda’s young career so far. You love to see it!
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 MIRANDA!! I'm just following on Gameday but I saw he had left 2 on base already this game and was hoping he wouldn't add 3 more to that unfortunate category.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Urshela with the slick play there. Very nice.

In 1991 that number was ... 3.3. In 1971 it was... 3.2. You'd think an "inability" to throw strikes would show up in a higher walk rate.

I would have figured that the "three true outcomes" approach would have an impact on that as well.
