The best thing that could happen is for Cleveland to stay hot and run the division, this isn’t the year for us yet. You can’t need 4-5 relievers and 2 starters in late June and expect it to work

Our record suggests otherwise

Especially against KC and Detroit.

Which do you trust more to fix your car: Twins’ bullpen or Packers’ special teams?

I'm not sure how you don't just go to Jax in the 9th regardless if you're going to use him if/when Pagan gets in trouble. Just bite the bullet and take the win and worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Or just use Duffey or Thornburg. It's a 3 run lead with 3 outs. If you can't trust someone with that then they shouldn't be on the team.

Fire Baldelli now. Prove you want to win now!

He’s not the problem

Ball goes under first baseman glove; outfielder hits fence before ball gets there, left fielder has a weak arm and instead of charging the ball wait for it to get to him.

Poor fielding a Twins trade-mark.

Twins need to bring in a closer.  I know all of the popular theories nowadays says you just need a bunch of high leverage pitchers and that anyone can close.  But it sure is nice when you've got one guy that has some balls and you can trust on a nightly basis.

How bad does the bullpen need to be before Falvine does something besides suck on their thumb and sleep on their money?

No one is selling right now. Gonna have to remain afloat for the next month with internal options.

Kirilloff needs fielding practice.

That was a huge play in that inning. The ball should absolutely have been fielded.

Sad to say but the decision to not use Duffey or Thornburg means they have no purpose unless the game is a blowout in either favor. That doesn't work.

For those so inclined,

baseballsavant had the hit % on the double at the fence at .940, and the two run single as .700

which is interesting because Celestino got a glove on the ball, even though he ran a long way

He’s one of them. Terrible managing to not have someone Up and READY in that last inning, when you’re asking a third inning in two nights from the same reliever.

They have a closer, they just have to overuse him because everyone else is so terrible

These two games have felt like how the Twins play against the Yankees... enough offense, horrid pitching. Horrific play in the clutch.

Sanchez striking out on three pitches was as predictable as the sun rising in the east tomorrow morning

Stupid.   Pathetic. Doing whatever it takes to lose.  Did you see that guy bunt.  He did it right.  Didn’t jab.  Our catcher’s bunt way back that we praised he did jab at maybe not as bad as some but that was lucky.  We can’t beat Cleveland.  You see what’s happening here.  Ranmirez will beat us single handled the rest of the way.  It’s crazy to say but the season is lost from this point probably.
