Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Cmon Nibbles! Let’s get em!
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 The good thing is that the Twins have made the NY bullpen work a lot today. Twins really need their starter tomorrow to get a good 6 or so innings in and get into the NY bullpen early.
yankeefan110 Provisional Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I come here in peace and I am not staying because I think it is an intrusion for a rival fan to stick around the other team's forum. I'ver never enjoyed it. But I just want to say that you have an incredible team this year and huge credit to Rocco Baldelli and your whole team. Of course I want the Yanks to win but this is not going to be a cake walk for us. But this is what postseason baseball should be. Congrats on a great season. Obviously your Twins are not going away.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 They bark! But no bite... Unless you run into the wrong crowd!Yeah, but no. You mightn’t have guessed it, but they’re really burly.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Did Smoltz just give the Twins pitching staff a bit a of a compliment? Could have knocked me off my recliner with a feather.
Crackedfungo Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 You cannot flush any games in the playoffs, let alone a best of five. Not liking our pitching decisions. But, the walks and HBPs are inexcusable. With all the HRs yankee can hit, it could be worse now. Conversely, if we could time our HRs with someone on base, score is tied or down 1
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Oh my god, they’re all so big.Michael Scott approved.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Yankees scoring here momentarily.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Gosh, and they smell so good too! You’d never have guessed it, but I am being pounded on like a veal cutlet my god.
David HK Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Can't keep up this 24-pitches-per-out pace...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 How many full counts is this? Unreal
scottz Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I love baseball. But this game has a real paint drying feel, except with announcers.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Sadly this game has predictably followed history and has gone according to script. It has now gotten away from us after they managed to hang for a few scrappy innings...but never did I ever feel even a little confidence in our pitchers tonite. (and the 'd' has let us down too) As has been the case with just about every Yankee-Twins post season game, whatever can go wrong for the Twins will and has gone wrong. Sure was hoping to see a 'different' Twins but not the case. If they don't play a TON better tomorrow, it will be the predictable 3 game sweep. I am so disappointed in the way this game has unraveled. Its classic Yankees, which is why I have always hated them. Twins are doing little to change what is becoming another nightmare. After the 2 6th inning HR's Yankees simply smell blood in the water. Gibson definitely in to just mop it up, if he can.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Just double stole on us. WowWithout a throw. Embarrassing.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I'd go with let Berrios go another inning, I'd go with let Duffey start that inning, I'd go with hows about Littel actually throw a strike, but I don't think it'd be worth it to put Duffey out there for another inning. If we're gonna question Baldelli, I'd start with "Why Arraez off a sprained ankle against a LHer?" Baldelli gets to do what he does. I'm not making a full scale attack on Baldelli. I'm defending my position that you get more innings out of your best pitchers... right now. No sense saving them for later. There may not be a later. If Stashak is one of his best pitchers... Then he made a good call with one run deficit. If he's not... Give Duffey the ball and send him back out there. However, his usage of Stashak during the regular season suggests that he may not believe that but I don't know what he believes. So I'll give him a pass... I'm just defending my position. You still got May and Romo and Rogers. And all 3 of those guys can also pitch today and tomorrow if needed because there is no reason to save any of them for later. There may not be a later.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 3 walks. Don’t go to Haiti, kids
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I guess the double steal is irrelevant when you walk the bases loaded!
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Wes?! Is Rocco giving up?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 F’n Gibson, just refuses to throw the ball over the plate
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 You just walked a guy hitting .163 in the month of September. Get some jam.
JAWS33 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I hope never see Gibson pitch another game for the Twins. It’s excruciating.
wavedog Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 The Washington-Los Angeles game may end before this one
Bomba2026 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Please can we be impartial here? Listening to this crap announcing is beyond belief and get Gibson the F out of the game. I am more mad about this announcing than Rocco's stupid decisions that feed to the announcers

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Throw strikes get an out, interesting new concept
