Hip Hip.... Jorge!!!

This is why you don't sit him against lefties. The guy's an everyday player and one of the best all around players in the game. That platoon talk is nonsense.

It's one at bat.  The platoon talk was based on his last 400 ABs against lefties and just a statement of what those numbers were over 400 ABs.

Now if his next 400 ABs are reflective of that AB then obviously the idea would go away....

Further that statement assumes that Adrianza or Arraez couldn't have also come up with a hit in that situation which is false.

Big hit for Jorge though, I hope he continues to do so.

I miss Dick in the booth with Justin. These youtube commentators are so cheesy

They sound fine on mute! :)

How many more runs before we are comfortable letting Gibby have another inning or two?

since he wasnt pinch hit for, with 2 on, I'd guess he's back out for this half inning.

I never thought I’d hear someone say something like in regards to Richard.

I’d argue that Polanco is a top-half SS, but since sometime in May, he hasn’t been an elite player.

The game doesn't happen in stretches. All players go through hot and cold to end up with the stats they have on the back of their baseball card at the end of the year. Polanco is a stud, a cornerstone of this team and an everyday SS in this league. We are lucky to have him.

Two things can be true at once; it's true Polanco is a really nice player, the kind that teams like the Twins need in order to have sustained runs of competitiveness.  It's also true that Jorge's OPS was .719 in June, .731 in July, and .704 thus far in August.  That is nearly a half season of production that would place him firmly in the mid-20's for MLB SS's.
