70charger Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 That said, he’s a slow-throwing lefty, I think the Twins should be able to put up some good swings and some crooked numbers against him today. He’s also given up an unusually low number of homers this year...time for some quick regression? Seems legit.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 I can appreciate that although there have been more than a few of these for the Twins, and who cares about the Brewers anyway There's more than a few of those for every team, or did you think only the Twins lose leads after the 6th inning?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Three true outcomes inning
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Apparently only strikeouts or home runs are allowed today?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 There's more than a few of those for every team, or did you think only the Twins lose leads after the 6th inning? Name a first place team with a bullpen worse than the Twins
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Bomba- bomba 2-0 here 2-1 red sox there
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 Apparently only strikeouts or home runs are allowed today? And walks. At least from the Twins. Though Grisham almost got to Rosario's foul. We'll see if the Brewers got the memo...
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Gonzalez throwing 29 pitches in the first inning, a night after the Brewers used 6 relievers, is a good sign. Get a win today, smoke a Texas team that's 1-7 in the last 8 before today's game, and hope the Yankees bludgeon the Indians pitchers, and we're back in good shape.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Bad Bounce for garver there, ****ty pitch
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Too early to pull Gibby? Before he gibs the runs back?
JW24 Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Who is available in long relief today? They might want to start moving around
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Here we go.............. And it's only the first.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 NOT a good start for Gibson. He better settle in; we don't have the bullpen for a starter to go just a few innings.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Name a first place team with a bullpen worse than the Twins By WAR? The Astros, Dodgers, Braves, and Cubs By FIP? The Astros, Dodgers, Braves, and Cubs By xFIP? The Braves (and the Indians)
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Whats Gibbys excuse today, flu last time ??? that is questionablehes thinking about his next ab
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Striking out Yelich with men on base is always a good thing.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 By WAR? The Astros, Dodgers, Braves, and Cubs By FIP? The Astros, Dodgers, Braves, and Cubs By xFIP? The Braves (and the Indians)ok I’m convinced the Twins have the best bullpen in baseball
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 So other than Berrios and Thorpe/Smeltzer, who will the Twins starters be next year?
BD57 Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 nibble, nibble ... and now we can't field the blasted ball ...
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Time for a triple play? Yeah I know, there's already one out, but can't we carry the extra out into the 2d?
ruralTWINS rube Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 There is no way we even get close to any playoff success making all these errors...
BD57 Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 remember when "Twins Baseball" was about "getting the fundamentals right"?
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 All on POLANCO, LOW BUT SHOULD OF HAD IT FOR 2, BEEN SAYING GIVE HIM A 10 DAY ROCCO VACATION, Know they wont, but he is not the same right now
ruralTWINS rube Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 remember when "Twins Baseball" was about "getting the fundamentals right"?Pepperidge farm remembers.
SF Twins Fan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Two games in a row Polanco can't catch a ball that he should have. Luckily this one didn't cost the team.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Avoided a disaster with that DP.
