Sabathia, "Man, I may not be the pitcher I was, but the Twins are really not the team they used to be!"

Posted

So Sabathia has to be the first active player to get an angiogram, right?

That makes the Twins the first team ever to get 4 HR off a starting pitcher who had a coronary angiogram.

Gigantic eye roll is the very definition of restraint. For most of these national people I have nothing good to say—I better not vent here, though :)

Speaking of national media outlets, this was shared by the MLB on Fox Twitter account this afternoon and left up for about an hour despite many, many Twins fans pointing out that the photo was not, in fact, the Twins.

Sabathia looks cooked, I'm shocked they've let him go this long. Hopefully we can trash their bullpen as well so they will be tired for the rest of the series.

I waited as long as I could to pour my first beer, not wanting to get to drunk watching this gam. Poured it to start the bottom half of this inning and I’m almost finished

*gigantic eyeroll*

Coming into tonight, the Twins had hit 105 HRs on the road, 77 at home.

ESPN, top notch.

And he looks like he may have a coronary on the mound!

Is this the first time this year he's given up 4 dingers?

Dude, pick up the pace.

I would assume I'm not the only one that would like to see the Twins show the Bronx Bombers how the whole home run thing works?

I drank four beers that half inning.

AND I REGRET NOTHING

(yet)

What are you having? I’m having my own creation and it’s heavy. 4 or 5 get me hungover

Watching Sabathia fall apart is a thing of beauty. I hope it continues for the rest of the season. It would be hilarious if he gets bumped from the playoff roster or forces NY to play with 24 for nostalgia and lose.

I will admit, this surprises me against Sabathia. WE NEVER HIT SABATHIA! It's been like 10 years since we had a good game against Sabathia.

ha, wasn’t even aware

that is atrocious but not surprising

I think he needs to start regularly to see how he holds up, but... yes.

Nothing wrong with sharing time with another quality catcher. After all, cant catch every game. But if he hadn't had his IL stint, should have been the All Star catcher. IMO
