After the exciting win yesterday, and after perusing the game thread yesterday, I came to the conclusion some of the  Twins faithful needed some help surviving the game

Nothing like high comedy, drama and angst....all in one game, which encapsulates everything that goes with being a Twins fan this year.

The highs and lows of following the Twins this year have been nothing short of spectacular.

Now, the Yankees come to town and they've been playing good baseball, boo!, and, have been a Twins nemesis for as long as Target Field has been in existence. Not to worry, though, Twins fans, because I have come up with the perfect way to deal with watching the Twins play the Yankees:

hyperventillating

And now, for some random thoughts. (Is there any way to add a bit of reverb to these things so this comes across as the portentous announcement it is? Pretentious?)

1. Yankees. Enough said.
2. Twins. Enough said.
3. Twins fans: Hoping to survive the next series.
4. Twins bullpen. Said too much already.

Pitching for the Twins:

Martin Perez

Pitching for the ************ Yankees:

C.C. Sabathia

5. Play ball!

Thank you for your patience and please remember to put your trays in the upright position before we enter the holding pattern.

We traded for CC Sabathia? Or is this some sort of "He blows so bad, it's like he's pitching for the Twins" joke?

Sigh.

Mind fixing?

Though, if you decide to leave it, well, makes the disclaimer all that much better!

Fixed, with minor edit.

LOL!

The cool thing, if the Twins do actually take CC apart, my original is available for posterity.

If not, my original is available for mockery.

Win Win!

I cannot believe this is not ESPN's Monday night game instead of Red Sox - Rays. Can't be audience because Tampa has no audience. 2 first place teams as opposed to a 2nd v a 3rd. Makes no sense.

No reason for Twins bats not to come alive. Just "see" CC for what he is and forget the NY on the uniform. Just go up there and pretend its BP. Hey Rocco, don't panic just because Perez gives up a couple of runs.

Twins 2 of 3; I guarantee it. (Now I will call the Medicare help line, Joe. lol)

Welp this is either going to be really good or really bad.

No middle ground.

At the risk of throwing up in my mouth a little...….go Blue Jays.

WE NEED TO BUNT ON CC!!

//had to be done. no game against CC Sabathia can ever happen without calls to bunt

First 2 hitters should bunt and make him field.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I could see a little small-ball piranha action being called for, with plenty of bunting.

Lol, I just clicked in just to say this. I’ve always wanted to see a team employ this strategy against CC.

. Teams have done that and then he gets all childish and pissy and starts throwing at guys and then team teams stop bunting. I h always wanted everyone in the lineup to try to bunt for a hit at least one pitch every at bat just to watch him explode. Who is he to dictate how how the game should be played?

No Buxton.

sigh.

Every time I see the ball drop in front of a CF, I think "Buxton would have had that ... and then been out of the lineup for a month."

I think the STRIB had an article on Friday that made it seem pretty optimistic he would be back today.  I guess we hope for tomorrow....

Instead of bagging on the Twins for how terrible they have been for the last six weeks or so, I have decided to look at things in a more positive light. The Twins magic number to win the division is 62.

I love when Magic Number Guy is out on Twitter; means good things!
