Whatever happens from here out, I want to see the Twins playing to WIN. I want to see them challenge the Yankees. I don't want to feel like they're playing to not lose. There have been points where it's felt like that when they've had leads the past couple weeks.

That's actually normal, even for broadcast a lot of the time.

I don't have cable, so am usually listening on the radio.  My downstairs neighbor watches every game.  I often hear him shout a good 30 seconds after I heard the play on the radio.

This is kind of a strange game - but am not complaining....

Yankees announcers commenting on the blaring music from the PA and I agree. It’s so not necessary

Arraez can't get too far from second because the ball was so close in center. Because it was in danger of being caught, he had to hold up a bit.

Rhetorical question. Bad read if you ask me. Which you didn't.

Would maybe agree but with nobody out and the middle of the order coming up..

Nobody out so the third base coach will have caution

And

The ball was hit behind him so the read won't be in front of him.

Now it will only take three Perez walks and the grand slam HR to put the Yankees ahead.

*please throw strikes now Martin*

After dinner, my 2 year old son and I got in the car to drive home. Of course I turned on the game in the first, two on, no out and Provus says something to the effect of Perez has thrown 21 pitches 7 of them strikes...

The next pitch was the triple play and yelled my exuberant shout and my two year old son says “Go Twins!”

I’ve never been more proud. I’m a little misty

Is it weird that somehow I feel better about the two RBI groundouts than I do the two bombas?

I'm right there with you. After watching the Twins put men on 1-2, 2-3, or 1-2-3 with no outs and get nothing from those innings, RBI groundouts almost feel like a homer.
