  1. Don't forget to blame Baldelli for cutting millions from the pay roll too. Since he's the only problem with the team.
  2. You're placing the loss on the manager? He didn't make two misplays that lead to the runners. He didn't hang a splitter. This obsession with Baldelli is pathologic.
  3. Julian is still 8th in outs above average at 2B this year. He might be flat but his improvement at second base shows commitment and desire to improve.
  4. Not sure what is worse as a fan, Vasquez at DH or 3B? Hopefully one of the injured can field today.
  5. With the recent AMD launch of the 7000 series CPU on the AM4, the older AM3 is cheaper. The upgrade path doesn't exist for the AM3 builds, but they're going to be cheaper since they also use DDR4mmemory. Something like the Ryzen 5 5800x3d with the extra cache, was the best gaming CPU until the recent Ryzen 7 7800x3d. The 5800x3d is probably $300 now, a B550 mother board can be had for around 120 with wifi, or even cheaper without wifi. The DDR4 4000 speed memory for 16 gigs is probably less than $100 and a RX 6650 XT, GPU which will do 1080p gaming is probably around $300. Swapping out a a non X3D Ryzen will probably be 50 bucks cheaper. Or hell a Ryzen 7 5700G with the built in IGPU might do 1080p gaming now. https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/ Can be helpful too. The 12th gen Intel, still uses DDR4 too, which means cheaper mother board and memory as well.
  6. Good teams accumulate fungible assets to use to improve themselves. Unfortunately Mahle was the 2nd best available pitched last year, fortunately the Twins had redundant pieces to give up. Not going to think or worry about Strand or Steer.
  7. The saving grace this year compared to last has been the usable talent ready when injuries occurred. This deal strips the depth the Twins have.
  8. I liked the Obi-Wan show. It wasn't great, but enjoyable. I liked how it delved into Leia's backstory, while also showing the Owen/Beru & Bail/Breha as the parental figures who shaped Luke and Leia. And showing how f-ed up Obi was from the end of the clone wars and order 66.
  9. Is the new found plate discipline Kirilloff showed at AAA transfering to MLB? He was almost 1:1 walk to strikeout at AAA this year after being Rosario esque his previous seasons
  10. With how teams treat the minor leaguers already, it is as if they're pre-punishing the players already. Now with the fines it gives MLB more reason to be cheap with the minor leagues. Yippie.
  11. Wow, touchy eh? Miranda has a whopping 270 innings at 1B in the minors. Critiquing his defense at first is fine. since he's learning the position on the fly at the major league level. But saying he needs to be send down "to learn" to play 3B after he’s played 1800 innings at 3B in the minors is knee jerk. He’s kind of what he is at 3B in regards to defense, which is not as good as Urshela.
  12. How can you say anything about Miranda at 3B? He's played 70 innings at 1B and over 160 innings at 1B in the majors this year.
  13. No, everyone 5 and over should be vaccinated. All vaccines available in the United States are highly effective, substantially reduce the risk of COVID-19, especially severe/critical disease, and have been associated with substantial reductions in COVID-19-associated hospitalizations and deaths, even in the context of variants that partially evade vaccine-induced immune responses. In addition to direct reductions in COVID-19-associated morbidity and mortality, vaccination has been associated with lower non-COVID-19 mortality rates, supporting evidence that COVID-19 vaccination does not increase the risk of death. The only true contraindication is anaphylaxis to the previous mRNA shot
  14. Yeah what do the American Medical Association, American Nurses Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, Association of American Medical Colleges, National Association for Home Care and Hospice, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine know? I don't trust their recommendation for vaccination. And the likelihood of post COVID infection myocarditis causing sudden cardiac arrest is exponentially higher than post vaccination. And both mRNA vaccinations for adults have FULL approval. Unless you've had a severe allergic reaction to the mRNA vaccination almost every should be vaccinated. That is medical fact.
  15. The wife and I ran through the new Bosch season. Titus Welliver is great.
  16. The career ERA+ of 94, the career FIP of 4.68 and the career ERA of 4.69 make me feel otherwise.
  17. The Good Place was hilarious.
  18. The Twins need a new machine if Bundy is a vital cog.
  19. Not sure about the entire series so far, but two episodes into Moon Knight, Oscar Isaac is outstanding.
  20. Hopefully he helps St. Paul. But how bad is he viewed throughout MLB if he already cleared waivers and was outrighted?
  21. Yup. Unless he stinks and they hold onto him and keep running him out there like Shoemaker.
  22. Limiting Duran's innings is great, but the wear and tear on a reliever is different than a starter. Getting up more quickly, less innings per outing, but more outings per week with the more frequent use. This isn't necessarily easier on an arm than a starter's work load.
  23. This scenario reminds me of a scene from the seminal movie of the 90's, American Pie. "Oh my God, she used me. I was used. I was used. Cool"
  24. I'd rather have Garlick using a catcher's mitt than another year of Cave. But I maybe a tad biased.
