  1. This teams’ inability to hit with RISP will haunt them.
  2. Even in his younger days Upton was never much of a CF. He’s a corner OF now. He’s perfect for the Twins. Right handed, doesn’t matter about playing time., some power. Celestino needs AAA time.
  3. That isn't what Tony Larussa says.
  4. Is Jesse Orosco still collecting a check?
  5. Hopefully he helps St. Paul. But how bad is he viewed throughout MLB if he already cleared waivers and was outrighted?
  6. You're upset Pujols signed elsewhere, huh?
  7. I'd rather have ditched Stashak, than a living, breathing left handed pitcher. But so long to that awful quasi-mullet.
  8. Yup. Unless he stinks and they hold onto him and keep running him out there like Shoemaker.
  9. Cheapskate Pohlads, should have signed Max Scherzer.
  10. Why stop with ghost runners? 11th inning and on, teams must only use position players to pitch.
  11. The screams you hear are Ron Gardenhire crying out in pain and agony.
  12. The Ohtani rule is awesome. If it increases the number of pitchers hitting, who don't suck as hitters, then it will be good for baseball.
  13. Exactly. The weight issue has been an easy crutch to criticize Sano for. Is being lighter more likely to help with agility at first? Sure. Is being lighter more likely to help keep him stay healthy during the year? Sure. Is it going to help him avoid huge slumps where he misses pitches in the strike zone? Probably not.
  14. Za'Darius Smith and Danielle Hunter would be awesome. But his in the world can the Vikings afford him?
  15. Limiting Duran's innings is great, but the wear and tear on a reliever is different than a starter. Getting up more quickly, less innings per outing, but more outings per week with the more frequent use. This isn't necessarily easier on an arm than a starter's work load.
  16. Yeah, don't really care to argue. You said something hot takey and now you're whiny since you got called out for it. I don't remember the rule, but for players who clear waivers, get re-added to the same team's roster then get waived again the player can then opt for free agency.
  17. The Falvey front office has shown an interest in accumulating pitchers with different skill sets. Not counting last year, Dobnak had the skill at suppressing flyballs. Something like a 55% ground all rate, which translates to something like a sub 4 FIP. When he's healthy he's shown the ability to be a major league pitcher. And at a cheap cost it was a worthwhile endeavour.
  18. Unless… can he pitch left handed!?
  19. That is extremely short sighted. It is the reason the 60 day DL exists.
  20. This scenario reminds me of a scene from the seminal movie of the 90's, American Pie. "Oh my God, she used me. I was used. I was used. Cool"
  21. I'd rather have Garlick using a catcher's mitt than another year of Cave. But I maybe a tad biased.
  22. I thought it was tied to the international draft? The owners get the draft the players lose the BS about comp picks?
  23. What's worse is the Browns manipulated Watson's salary for next year to be 1 million, so any suspension is taken out of that and not his 40ish million dollar signing bonus, or roster bonus.
  24. Break the union! Tigers are ruining the AL Central!
  25. Maybe a sandwich or two as well?
