  1. Correa's character? Did he get accused by 23 women of assault? The best time I had last year was booing the Astros until my throat was sore., and was quite proud how loud Target Field booed them as well. But serious, his character makes this a terrible signing? You better be careful falling off that soapbox.
  2. With how many of the Twins pitching prospects are on the cusp of AAA, then the majors, this year is probably going to be a lot rearranging of the deck chairs on the Titanic.
  3. I don't care what you Eeyores will say, even as an essentially one year deal isn't bad. Does make you wonder why another team wouldn't do this though.
  4. The Packer's made that idea a lot easier with their dumping of Adams.
  5. Hopefully the desk is made of wood that is stronger than Buxton's bones. *rim shot* I'll show myself out.
  6. True, but this move and also feel a lot better if Thorpe hadn’t already lost 3 miles an hour off of his fastball. Also they could take the many millions saved by trading Donaldson and signing relievers as well.
  7. My first cynical thought is sweet they're saving all of Donald's salary for the Pohlad's pockets.
  8. Not sure Pineda with his injuries, age, and decreased velocity is a top of a rotation guy, but adding another pitcher is always good.
  9. But think of the children and how long the games will be!?
  10. Exactly. With the recent change in front office's opinion about positional flexibility, and teams pushing for it from their prospects it is an interesting nugget in regards to Martin. He isn't a "starting" MLB SS, but does it make him more attractive as a prospect that he could play there some days as well as the outfield, while playing a "good" CF?
  11. Sorry, it is exhausting keeping track of what has annoyed you.
  12. The Twins have shown a reliable history of saving and collecting previous season's saving and passing that along onto the next season.
  13. Make it rain Jimmy Pohlad!!
  14. Gosar's own family does despise him. So maybe the most truthful thing he's said in ages.
  15. The entire press conference was funny. Pumping Kirk up, then finishing with the back handed compliment.
  16. The MLB owners are the only professional sports ownership group that seem deadset on killing their relationship with their labor pool. Hell, the NFL owners don't guarantee their labor pool their salaries and have a better relationship with their players than MLB and the MLBPA. From the outside the owners wanting to rule over the players and combined with so many owners wanting to spend as little as possible that is the most greedy thing about these negotianegotiations. The players have played the last 3ish years under a CBA designed for the past. Maximized for older players, and those coming off strong pre-arb years. But the game changed and GM got smarter and stopped wanting to pay older players for what they did. The CBT argument from the players seems to be aimed at trying to get the middle of the road players more money since they are the ones getting effed by the current CBA. But of course paint the players as greedy.
  17. I am now a dumber person for reading this.
  18. Kwesi breaking out that Cousins shines "When the odds are shifted in his favor."
  19. Yeah, I really liked both seasons of the Witcher.
  20. The Spielman and Zimmer regime gave the Vikings a level of competency that wasn't there before they got to Minnesota. But like everyone says the stagnation, the stubbornness, and poor coaching needed to go. Especially with what O'Neil and Kendricks said after Zimmer was let go about the communication and culture Zimmer created solidified the need for them to let go.
  21. Spider-Man was great. A little downer of an ending, but eh. I can't say I've seen the original West Side Story, but did see something online about the new movie not using Spanish subtitle as a form of respect. That seemed a little too much.
  22. Long term solutions? Almost no team has long term solutions, thus the big deals for FA pitchers.
  23. Greg Coleman, is that you?
  24. The Stroman deal really sucks as a wins fan. Not terrible yearly average and only 3 years. His on field talent plus attitude would have been awesome.
  25. Satire maybe the weapon of the powerless, but the subconscious of many working-class Americans is the weapon of the rich.
