  1. It is just lazy to say the team wasn’t prepared to play. If the bullpen’s ERA wasn’t 5 what would the record be? And the narrative would be drastically different.
  2. Yeah, if only the Twins bunted more in 2019. 120 wins would have been the minimum win total. I chose this season, since who would have thought that every reliever but Rogers would be horrible?
  3. Strib article says usually rehab is 8 weeks. And cue posters coming out of woodwork bitching about soft Twins’ players.
  4. Where's a leader like Kyle Lohse taking a bat to the manager's door when you need them?
  5. Isn’t part of entertainment the journey, not just the destination? As Levi said, Loki started as the villain from Avengers 1, and evolved into an antihero or downright hero. Along the way he changed, picked up a real glorious purpose and found he can love another person. Just because that person is… the same being. The criticism about not having Loki popping up talking about their vagina while kissing Sylvie is because as Levi said the big discussion by the show runners talking about their representation goals. It is exhausting.
  6. If this was the Twins the people screaming about cheap ownership would be deafening. From what Russo said on KFAN it sounds like Guerrin just wanted to rid the team of Suter and Parise for salary the next two years, but also their annoying "I want to help run the team" attitudes.
  7. No, they signed Simmons because Polanco isn't an everyday SS. Gordon would not have factored in one iota into the Simmons signing. Gordon was a border-line bust, who missed all of last year due to COVID.
  8. This year the idea of developing is even more important. With almost every prospect not playing a real game in a calendar year. Getting through the year without massive injury numbers in the minors will be huge for next year. Trading Berrios is the marker about what the front office thinks about next year. He goes good sign the FO thinks next year is sunk too. Or someone gives up the moon for Berios...
  9. I want a Sylvie/Red Guardian Disney+ show now.
  10. Rortvedt has a worse OPS than Drew Butera's career OPS. Trading Garver isn't a good idea.
  11. "All-star closer Taylor Rogers."
  12. If you take away the first 10 pitches Rogers threw one heck of an inning.
  13. They've had to play teams not named, "Detroit?"
  14. Is Dan Iassogna an ump during my at bat against Sano? I’m pretty sure I’d over throw and hit Sano with my 45 mph heater and get ejected.
  15. The front office Wes Johnson and Baldelli seem to have a plan in regards to pitching. Seems to be centered around the fact a huge portion of their stagg threw 0 official innings last year, or guys like Maeds hew three 1/3 of their normal innings. The problem has been the bullpen and inability to support the starting staff. This plan will be graded next year and possibly later this year if the Twins' arms stay healthy and teams not planning for the innings increase have injuries.
  16. Definitely Baldelli’s fault the team ERA is almost 5. He should be pressing buttons and managing up the team to be good, like good managers do. Like Tony LaRussa and Dusty Baker, guys who call for more bunts and have their starters throw 8 innings every game.
  17. I’d think about it, if they offered an uncut streaming version. Bring back Blyleven and let the old guy cut loose, f bombs here, cussing out weak starting pitchers going 5 innings there. Full on old man yelling at the clouds level of analysis.
  18. If the test fails, a bunch of ravers croak. win, win.
  19. Maybe it is my years of taking care of critically ill patients in the emergency department or my board certification as a nurse practitioner that makes me annoyed at this. But alluding to the immune response after vaccination in the same sentence as a reason not to be vaccinated is completely and absolutely idiotic. You want to know what is even more uncomfortable than an immune response post vaccination? Being intubated due to severe respiratory distress from covid. Or the associated urinary catheter that we shove into you or OG or NG tubes that we shove down so we can suction gastric contents of your stomach while you're intubated so you don't choke on it. Or the central line that goes into your neck. Or maybe you'll argue about the young healthy that don't need to be vaccinated. Such as Marco Rossi of the Wild who hasn't been able to do anything due to the myocarditis post infection. Or Jason Tatum of the Celtics who still has problems.
  20. I think you should just let your old-man yelling at clouds self go and let the filter do it’s job. No self-censorship!!
  21. Unless your pitcher is named DeGrom, pitchers are going to give up hits. Exit velocities under 80mph for Shoemaker on 2/3 hits. Complaining about it is just whining to whine.
  22. One positive note, Arraez did not hurt his knee more trying to catch Polanco's throw!
  23. Now Polanco and his poor throws show up. *sighs*
