Again, obvious rhetorical question. But thanks for the review of baseball 101.

From where I sit, the ball looked pretty catchable. I don't think anybody reads that as a hit off the bat. You have to play that about 30 feet off second, because if it IS caught, it's a short throw to 2nd, and you CAN'T get picked off with no out. Once it falls, there's zero chance to score. It's one hop into the fielder's glove, who's already got his momentum coming in towards the infield.

 

I'm often critical of bad baserunning, but Arraez played that exactly correct. It's one reason that "BA w/ RISP" isn't the greatest stat. That was a hit, with a runner in scoring position. But it didn't score a run. And really had no chance to.

My prediction is that both the Twins and Yankees break the season home run record by 8:30pm tomorrow.

That Hicks dude used to be pretty, pretty good in CF too. Even though Judge was the one who got to it.

MAJOR props to Twins nation for u guys holding composure yesterday after my Tribe won and also putting it to the Yankees.   This race for the central is gonna be epic! two outstanding teams that could easily win a pennant
