Never should have been that close. Find other bullpen arms, stat.

Have they checked under the couch cushions?

A win is a win. That was pretty poor bullpen management in my opinion. I think you leave Parker in there for the ninth. Sure he pitched 18 or so pitches yesterday, but he's been really solid as of late. No way you bring in Hildenberger there. Go with Morin or Duffey. Close call and ultimately it comes as a win, but this needs to be a learning moment for Baldelli as a manager of the bullpen.

DFA Hildenberger ... Don't even option him .... Just DFA him .... Doesn't need to be on the 25 or the 40

Let's start with a week or 2 in AAA to reset his mind.

Twins did not deserve to win that series, but a win is a win

Eh, I think that underscores just how lucky the Angel bats were time and time again.

It's not normal for that many dribblers, groundballs, and bloopers fall in for hits, yet it was happening left and right for three games.

Hildy needs to go, go down and try to work something out, cant do it in the majors

Nope ... He's done ... League has his gimmick figured out .... DFA .... If he's a "good guy", then he can eat innings in games that don't matter in Rochester.

Rocco needs to be grilled by reporters about why he put in Hildenberger. Unexcusable.

Eh, four run lead. You need to be able to pitch who's available.

And based on that performance, next time that happens, someone else needs to be available in his place.

I missed the discussion....why Parker didn't come out to pitch the ninth? Because he pitched more than an inning last night?

I think it consistently happening for 3 games is a little more than luck to be honest

44 hits in the series should never be considered lucky.

They won't, but they definitely should.

Morin and Duffey were available. I think you go with either of those options over a guy who been struggling big time.

SSS, but both Morin and Duffey have sub 2.00 ERA's and Duffman has been missing bats the last couple times out sans last night where he gave up a hit to the one batter he faced.

It's luck. No team can so minutely control where balls go on the field. The Angels are inclined to put more contact on the ball, which means more hits, but they were hitting low percentage balls all over the field and they were dropping for hits.

That's luck.

Duffy doesn't get anyone out either. He has been lights out in AAA but when he reaches the majors it is like he starts wetting to bed like a kid again. I don't get Duffey, he has closer stuff when he has his stuff together, his issues are all mental because the dude is uber talented.

He can go drive for Uber! :)

That's where they found Ryne Harper, but I don't see much else down in there...

That's the definition of luck, especially considering the low velocity balls they were constantly hitting. The Angels weren't ripping homers and doubles all over the field, they were singling the Twins to death.

Again, the Angels are inclined to produce quite a few hits through contact but they weren't even making great contact, the ball was just going where the Twins weren't on a frustratingly regular basis.

Again, that's luck.

Angels are one of the few teams we've played this year that made a conscious effort to bust our shifts on them. It worked many times. Still not convinced that is all luck and still hold on to my thoughts that the Twins were outplayed this series. I respect your opinion though.

I'm not sure why you bring in a struggling pitcher to face off against a team that has already laid down 15 hits.

The buffer held, barely. The Twins got lucky here.

Even when the Tigers did the same thing to the Twins last week?

Exactly. Rocco was thinking more about giving Hildenberger a chance to redeem himself rather than thinking about the win. Not smart.

Hildenberger in last 7 games -- 5.2 IP, 16 hits, 11 ER.

I think batters may have figured him out.

But at least he didn't walk anyone.
