Game Thread: 5/15/19 Twins vs. Angels 12:10 CDT

Hell of an AB by Adrianza

[Aggies7]

Adrianza is having the game of his life

[MMMordabito]

Wow, Castro. 1.044 OPS!

[MNT1996]

No. I did not just see Hildenberg in the bullpen ready to go. No.

[Don Walcott]

Remember when everyone wanted us to sign Cody Allen? Now, he not only isn't the Angels' closer, or even in a high leverage position, but he can't put away Ehire (who is, to be fair, playing like his job depends on it).

Vinegar

[Mill1634]

Alright Hildy, lock this series and homestand down.

[VATwinsFan]

NOT HINDENBURG!!!

[MMMordabito]

All aboard the Hildencoaster! Here we go!

[ScrapTheNickname]

That's okay, I keep reading Tommy Lasorda for La Stella for some reason.

It occurred to me yesterday that "La Stella" in English meanings The Star.

Today I just had to look up "La Sorda," which means "The deaf one."

Interesting, a little bit?

[ScrapTheNickname]

Why Hildenberger? Is everyone else hurt or pitched yesterday?

Don't you have to pitch him in an 8-4 game to find out if he's really as bad as he has been?

[jimbo92107]

El Cherubo missed that pop foul by just...five pounds.

[MNT1996]

Demote Hildenberger as soon as this game is done please

[Brock Beauchamp]

Well done.

Here we go............

4 run lead at home in the middle of a 14 day streak without an off day and 4 pitchers have already been used today?

[Mill1634]

And bring up who? You have to let him pitch here. He isn't as bad as he has been, and there aren't better options in AAA. Give him a smaller role for the time being, but don't demote him to AAA.

As I type this, he gives up another double. Yikes.

[MNT1996]

Jesus christ

[Aggies7]

sigh

[RatherBeGolfing]

It would be nice if Hildy would get it together

[Brock Beauchamp]

Ughhhhhhhhhh

[ScrapTheNickname]

I guess but I wish it was at least a 6 run lead. He could give up 4 pretty quickly...

And  ... it appears he's just as bad today as he has been all year ...

[FlauerPauer]

Gotta think it's time to send Trevor to AAA to let him figure his mechanics or whatever the hell is wrong with him lately.

Romero

[MMMordabito]

Oh, I get it ... They had to get his ERA over 7 before demoting him ... That's hard coded into the Falvinelli Sabrtron 3000

[bighat]

Hate to say this, but if Hildy gives up another baserunner the Twins have to pull him and then maybe send him down.

[LaBombo]

Angels have 7 batters in the line-up hitting .288 or better.

Is that counting Goodwin and his now .576-ish batting average twice?

[Mill1634]

Alright, maybe a trip to Rochester wouldn't hurt Hildenberger too much.

[Brock Beauchamp]

Yeah. He can’t be on the roster if this is how he’s pitching. The bullpen is already fragile.

[Aggies7]

dude is just tossing meat up there
