ashbury Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Twins still Jonesing for an opening day win... David HK 1
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Welp. Now the worst thing about opening day is that we have to wait 2 days to see another one David HK 1
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 So much for Rodney not being HR prone. That’s gonna leave a mark. Its Camden. I’m pretty sure my wife could hit one out of there and she sometimes has to ask which end of the bat to hold. David HK, Dozier's Glorious Hair, Puckett34 and 2 others 5

Blake Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I'm going to despise Rodney this season.Starting a little early with the hate, aren't we? Or is there an early-bird special? David HK and Monkeypaws 2
jud6312 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I'm going to despise Rodney this season. Nothing to worry about. The guys on the thread the other day told me I was overreacting. All pitchers hit their stride at 41. Mike Sixel 1
jud6312 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Starting a little early with the hate, aren't we? Or is there an early-bird special? Some of us had a hunch and started early just in case. PopRiveter 1
Rosterman Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Rodney got us out of the inning. Should he have started the next? Will Molitor figure out how to manage a bullpen this year?
70charger Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Starting a little early with the hate, aren't we? Or is there an early-bird special? Ask chief. He'd know. Puckett34, Blake, David HK and 1 other 4
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 lol I watch a ton of Seattle Mariners games (Seattle is number 2 team) And that was so typical, get ready for another 10 of those this year from Rodney. jud6312, Vanimal46 and PopRiveter 3
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Its Camden. I’m pretty sure my wife could hit one out of there and she sometimes has to ask which end of the bat to hold.Your wife could hit one out, yet none of the twins power hitters could today. Just stop it Brock, Rodney is a terrible choice as closer. jud6312 and Vanimal46 2
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Its Camden. I’m pretty sure my wife could hit one out of there and she sometimes has to ask which end of the bat to hold.Perhaps she can take Mauer's place at first base. Platoon, Vanimal46, Mike Sixel and 1 other 4
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Rodney got us out of the inning. Should he have started the next? Will Molitor figure out how to manage a bullpen this year?He barely threw any pitches. Yes he should have. Absolutely. The bad decision was not using Reed earlier, imo. jud6312, mickeymental and Vanimal46 3
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 He barely threw any pitches. Yes he should have. Absolutely. The bad decision was not using Reed earlier, imo.I'm sure Molitor would say he wanted Reed for the top of the Orioles order the next inning, but IMO once there's 2 on and 1 out, you can't let Duke face two RH hitters in a tie game. USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 And it's early, but Hildenberger probably should be in Rochester with his spring. Hosken Bombo Disco 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Stanton just hit #2. Should be fun playing them in the postseason if we qualify.

BoofBonser Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 It's way too early for baseball for me... this loss feels like we just lost 10 in a rowThis happens every Opening Day besides last year
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Rodney got us out of the inning. Should he have started the next? Will Molitor figure out how to manage a bullpen this year? That’s “the book” move. Once you bring your closer into a tie game on the road, you are pretty much forced to ride him as long as possible. The alternative was Pressly. Sure that’s a better option?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Can we still get Kintzler back? adorduan 1
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Your wife could hit one out, yet none of the twins power hitters could today.Just stop it Brock, Rodney is a terrible choice as closer. He's an entirely adequate closer. I was pretty unimpressed by the signing but on a team that needed arms and lots of them, his one year deal won't kill the team. Plus, he's the type of guy you have absolutely no problem replacing midseason if one of the young arms steps forward. He's a decent placeholder, provided his age doesn't catch up to him this season. Platoon and Dozier's Glorious Hair 2
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) Mid season, lol. If we let that dude close til mid season we will be 12 games back. He on his own destroyed the last decent season for the mariners. Also he is 41, his age more than likely will catch up. Edited March 29, 2018 by DaveW
