6.2. 8H, 4k, 2BB 3R 1ER

Twins win 17-4.

Obviously we aren't going to fall apart until after the deadline, will probably become buyers, so that necessitates we get a bit more hope before the rug gets pulled out.

0. Pre game buffet proves too alluring and he refuses to take the mound.

Has it been announced yet who was cut to make space on the 40 and 25-man rosters?

Gee was removed from the 40 man roster, and Vargas was sent down to AAA.

If Gee moves on and does well and Colon bombs, this could turn out to be the dumbest move of the season.

And if Gee moves on and bombs and Colon does well?

Lucky - lol!  ...and if they both bomb that would be filed under probable.    They are banking on Colon reverting back to a prior year form while Gee has pitched well in AAA so far - less as well in his Major league stint this year.    By pitching well in AAA I mean not allowing any runs - I have no idea how is stuff looked.  I probably would have gone with Gee because we only need a short-term solution and would go with the more recent trending, but I have no demonstratable qualities to be a GM.   They may have seen something in Colon they think can correct or they want his presence?

Baffles the struggling Yankees with slow, slower, slowest, and beyond slowest pitches and dominates with a cg shutout.  3 Yankees go to the DL after the game with strained obliques from swinging out of their socks at alluring meatballs only to find themselves way out in front.  Meanwhile, Colon puts on a Bugs Bunny like performance by catching his own pitches and playing outfield.

I think you are half right.

Vargas optioned, Hughes 60-day DL and Breslow activated.

If they outrighted Gee, then they couldn't place Hughes on the 60-day DL.

It would have been nice if they had given Gee a chance, he seemed to be doing well in AAA.

I'm going to go with my cup is half full and try to be positive with Colon

5 innings, 5 hits, 0 runs, 1BB's, 2K's, 85 pitches. Starts the 6th, gives up a hit and Molitor comes out to get him and he leaves to an ovation

Someone gets on base every inning, but no one scores.

Boy I hope I'm right.
