Game Thread: ST game #12, Twins v Team USA (WBC), 3/8@6:05pm CT

[Gagne Fan]

Thoughts ?

[Mike Sixel]

Thoughts ?

One team will win, the other will not. Unless it's a tie, in which case someone will be annoyed that a sporting competition could ever end in a tie. Which makes me think that's a silly thing to be annoyed about.

that's really all I got, sorry.

[GP830]

If the Twins win then they become Team USA...right?

[Halsey Hall]

Where's the lineups?

[glunn]

I read somewhere that the Twins may provide some pitchers to pitch for Team USA. That could be fun.

I hope that the game is televised on the MLB network.

[Squirrel]

I hope that the game is televised on the MLB network.

According to the schedule it is, at 6:05pm CT. Maybe we should make this the game thread.

[Mike Sixel]

I'd feel better about my reply if it was in a game thread.....

[Gagne Fan]

Mike you are a smart***

I hope will meet in person so I can slap the sh*t out of you

I'm going to assume this is in the same spirit as my post, and not an actual threat. But just in case, I look EXACTLY like Brock. Heck, I might be Brock. So next time you see someone that looks like Brock, hit 'em, it might be me.....

I've heard 5 pitchers.

Now that's funny.

[Squirrel]

I've always considered myself a Minnesotan, first and foremost, and an American somewhere further down the list. Go Twins. Beat those Yankees.

So when you chose the name Gagne Fan you were meaning Verne rather than Greg, right?

Okay, this is the game thread.

Good thing. Otherwise the mods would have had to delete some posts and usernames.

Just curious if anyone else had echos of a certain 80's cartoon theme music following this pronouncement?

Still like 18 hours before game time...

Nothing going on at the fields as the minors have photo day, but I need a ticket for tonight so will go early afternoon.  I'd really like to get a couple auto's of 2 USA players.

[Gagne Fan]

I was told some minor leaguers as well.

Hurlburt, Steele ?!?!?

Oh Snap!

To put too fine a point on it, that would be "I've got the power."

But much appreciated. Hithertofore i had only been aware of the portion of this song quoted in The Fisher King. It has broadened my appreciation of Jack Lucas.

Tea minus 9 hours?
