Is it a service time thing where keeping him in AAA means they get his age 32 season? Otherwise, I agree, it makes no sense to trade Brock Stewart for someone you think is worse than Dashawn Keirsey.

Saints are in Toledo so it’s a short drive. Maybe Julien, Outman, Abel, Urena, Adams rent a minivan and head over. 
 

Should be a lot of announcements today.

A lot of this is paperwork and processes it seems.  I have no doubt Outman will be up with the Twins soon and is likely our CF the majority of the remainder of the season.  Outman makes 0 sense in a straight up deal for Stewart.  He only makes sense if you can regularly play him and he begins to hit MLB pitchers again and drastically rehabs his value.  He just looks like Jake Cave to me though.  

I am waiting to see what we have in the bullpen -  Sands, Topa, Funderburk, Tonkin, Davis  . . . . 

Pressley was DFA'd but I see no way the Twins pick him up and pay the remaining salary unless they are ok with getting some relatively cheap experience in the bullpen.  

So if I were to bring up the bullpen isn't great.  So maybe start converting starters.  Ohl, Morris, ???  I mean who knows whats going to happen with the bullpen.

Nobody will pay it. He will elect free agency. Then he will sign for the minimum with the Twins. He gets another chance to be a closer, even though it may only be once per week.

I really have no interest in how any of the games go the rest of the season.  Win 'em, lose 'em, it doesn't really matter.

But I'm kind of morbidly fascinated to see how they are going to pull together 25 guys as a functioning roster for the game tonight in Cleveland.  Beyond the obvious bullpen needs their infield is a mess.  We need a backup SS for Lee, among other holes.  I guess Fitzgerald gets another cup of coffee?  Otherwise the backup SS is....  Royce?  Austin Martin?  Clemens???

They definitely don't think he's worse than Kiersey, given his 2023 season in the majors. It has to be about playing every day, which is why Kiersey collects dust on the bench most games. Austin Martin is going to get Bader's ABs for now and Outman will get Martin's AAA reps.
