  1. Some of us just like having something to complain about.
  2. The story in my head, not based on anything but a guess, is maybe he likes the lack of pressure here.
  3. No one playing a free show after a Twins game is still a thing.
  4. I'm so glad we no longer have our pitchers on a max pitch count of 80. Our bullpen would be even more torched than it is now.
  5. It's not just Ohtani that his OPS below .600 over the last 7 games. But point taken on that at bat.
  6. Oh boy, old royce is back. That hot streak was just a tease.
  7. I'm a big fan of Buck but IF he was willing to be traded, I'm trading him. Popular opinion is next year is either quite shortened or doesn't happen. The "trade him" opinion is from a cold blooded long term health of the franchise standpoint, not the "I've loved watching this guy play when he's healthy and he's a mensch" standpoint.
  8. I feel like it's very rare to observe a game and realize in real time "We're not even actually trying to win this game" but that was what yesterday felt like for sure.
  9. I keep seeing articles talking about the Twins being in "contention" still. Can't trade Buxton, we're in contention. Not going to sell at the deadline, we're in contention. Is getting the third wild card with a team that has no reasonable path, unless everyone got hot at the same time for a month, to winning in the post-season, really being in contention? PS I'm old enough to remember when 2 teams from each league made the playoffs. And yes 6 teams in the playoffs keeps more fans interested longer. But still.
  10. How long will this line still mean anything? We've yet to have a full season of healthy Lewis, and it's been a good long while, aside from brief flashes, of a productive Lewis.
  11. Well they brought in Adams to show they actually are trying? Almost 100 pitches of Voth. sigh.
  12. The Twins gave an org my kiddo participates in free tix for Friday night's game. They're in 301, which is kind of the least the team could do to give away tix. Seat surfing! As a good Christian Midwestern boy, I've never done it, so I need some advice. How aggressive should we be? Lower deck? Will they ask you to leave the stadium if you are found in the wrong seats or just leave the seats? Thanks in advance! Oh btw, that exclamation point is a bit aggressive C.
  13. I have no idea how one actually commits a fielding error anymore.
  14. Had a job on opening night of a fancy restaurant on Loring Park. I was around 20. I got told to do something by one owner, yelled at for doing that thing 2 minutes later by the other owner. It was easy to walk out on that $17.
  15. Looking at Gameday on mlb.com, the pitch on which Lewis was "protecting the plate" was 4-6 inches outside. Big plate that.
  16. I've seen a couple articles lately lamenting the growing gap between AAA and MLB. I hope Wallner got right but raking in St Paul isn't necessarily indicative of a change.
  17. Hopefully the rain will roll in and simultaneously water my vegetables and put the Twins out of their misery for the day.
  18. I'm envious! 30 days in Scotland! We spent 3 days there a couple years ago and I was ready to move.
  19. Settle down everyone, this lineup is good for 5 more runs I'm sure.
  20. We should definitely try to score more runs than the Royals.
  21. It's nice to play teams that also make dumb mistakes.
