The odds that the vast majority of the lineup just suddenly turns into awful hitters simultaneously defies reason. They've clearly given up, that's on Rocco, and he needs to be gone.

I am not wasting another season of Twins baseball if Rocco is not replaced. When players stop responding to the manager he has to be replaced.

Right, and I think that goes back to approaches at the plate that is discussed in spring training by the coaching staff, etc.  Just this last half inning, Marlins righty on a 2-strike counts takes the borderline pitch the other way for a base hit.  A Twins player either looks at it for strike 3 or rolls it over for a weak groundout.  The plate discipline for a lot of players might be worse in this last month than it was in the 7-13 stretch to start the season and it was AWFUL back then.

I suspect that Falvey and Levine are likely safe, because they're doing the Pohlad's bidding.  Deservedly or not.  On the other hand, Rocco could well be the sacrificial lamb in this situation.

Lewis used up all his "hero" last year. The biggest mistake he is guilty of, is perhaps, "I don't do slumps". Lewis is reminding me of Danny Valencia, who had an incredible last half of a season to start his career, and was toast after. Never was really given a position, but was used mostly at third.

Predictable and comical by Santana. Way to go Rocco and your spreadsheet. Santana doesn't even deserve to bat 9th right now. He is losing these games with his worthless effort and at-bats as much as bullpen. Just awful, good defense doesn't make up for all the runners stranded last 3 weeks.

Although, anyone would seem able to improve on what we’ve been seeing lately, Polanco has been bad…slightly better in the 2nd half, but the numbers are still very ugly.
