Why was Miranda hitting there? Brings one of his 4 available left-handed bats off the bench (Wallner), then leaves Miranda in to K. Dart board analytics?

No doubt...even if by some miracle, we got in...we'd get absolutely waxed by another team.

... and it likely wouldn't even be a competitive series.

Miranda looks like he isn't seeing the baseball well at all.

Yes, and most of the rest of the team look like they aren't playing baseball very well either!

I think we can basically call this the ending the season, with no fight and barely a whimper.

I think I've had about as much as I can tolerate.

Even the stock market has a "dead cat bounce".  Not us.  Flatliners!

I know captain obvious, but I suspect something odd with Miranda, like a physical problem. The rest are just not hitting, just like Miranda. Buxton and Correa are trying.

FWIW, Polanco hit his 16th HR tonight and also has an RBI single

Topa and Desclafani have failed to throw a pitch in a Twins uniform this season.

And the top 100 prospect we got appears to be one of those that is only valuable as a trade piece. He took a big step back and will not be appearing on that list again.

Slow, bad defender, even at his ceiling he's maybe a slightly above average DH. Twins shouldn't be thinking of him in future plans.

I hope you're correct and it can be fixed before next year.

True...and the Twins saved money on the deal. Realistically, that seems to be the priority this year.

Saved money ,doesn't Descalfini make 12 million. Don't think money was kicked in by Seattle?

Good point and it will probably be the same priority again next year.

He looked like the real deal Holyfield there for a minute didn’t he

I have never seen the Twins go this long with so fewer home runs. September has been almost homerless.

Also, the lack of scoring with two men on is incredible. They really need to teach bunting in spring training next year.
