Hard to believe this team traded a prospect for Margot... and then continued to field him when he was well past the point where he should have been DFA'd. And yet Rocco puts him in the #1 spot and keeps Larnach and Wallner on the bench... ugh.

You just gave me a thumbs down for writing this...then wrote it yourself.

Good night everyone! Go Twins!

Neither was Santana. They both either thought the only chance was the other guy or that it would go foul. Pathetic effort.

I think that's about where I'm at too.  We can't known for sure if they weren't hustling, but it sure as hell looked bad.  They may have judged it perfectly and never had a chance but don't put that on tape, as the football coaches say.

A team fighting for its life may still not catch that ball, but it sure looks a lot better if they miss it while obviously going all out.

Random, but Miranda, 61 AB since August 28. 1 RBI.
We were thinking of him as a future fixture here.

He's completely lost right now. Whatever the reason is...he's an automatic out and has been for a while.

As opposed to this team which appears, for all intents and purposes, to have already thrown in the towel for the season.

Just pathetic!

I don’t know that I have access to this information, but I have to believe that the Twins are near the bottom of the league in barrel % since the ASB.

And maybe called third strikes, maybe total called strikes. They sure like to watch close pitches begging for walks. But I have no data. Don't know how to look it up. But it feels like that watching these games.

Let's say they go 1-5 to finish out, or maybe 2-4, and miss the dance...does the manager and/or others, get canned? What's everybody think?

The entire offense has looked lost in the last month.  They look like a hockey team who hasn't scored on the power play in forever and they all squeeze their sticks tighter.  It's like we're squeezing the bats tighter and everyone is missing the meatballs.

Very very similar ball just caught for an easy out. Where was Farmer lined up on the other one?

Probably shifted all the way behind 2nd base since our defense is rarely playing conventional.  Ya know, numbers and all that.

With the season on life support, the big question now, will the Twins fail to produce a 70 RBI guy for the 3rd season in a row?

Because they listened to the fancy stat guys say "RBI are a meaningless stat" and they didn't matter, and it is all luck? And were busy trying to get walks?

My response is "Yes".

I had catchers in the Babe Ruth game I umpired on Saturday make better block attempts than Jeffers just tried there.

I don't think that the FO or Rocco will get fired regardless of the outcome of the remaining 6 games.
