Kind of amusing because I'll bet one of the more common discussions next off season is if Julien follows the Miranda path. That of being a little known infield prospect, raking in the high minors, feeling like a cornerstone player as a rookie, looking completely lost as a sophomore and then coming back from the dead in his third year at the majors.

Only if we find out Julien has been injured all season. Otherwise this is probably what Julien is.

How did Julien develop into a hitter terrified to swing when he has 2 strikes.

I don't know. The numbers are probably worse than you thought:

127 PA, 12-107, .112/.252/.196 (.448 OPS) 2 HR, 5 RBI, 74/19 K/BB, 1 HBP

I called it.

They weren't going to start Miranda against the RHer yesterday, so they just waited a day to activate him.

It sure seems like that ‘sophomore slump’ is sometimes a real thing. A year ago, who would have guessed that Corbin Carroll and Evan Carter would be struggling this year. I hope Julien figures it out. Last year, it seemed like everything he hit was line drives.

Maybe the Tigers will trade Skubal before the game tonight, and we get to miss facing him. Stranger things have happened.

I truly hope so but if DET trades Skubal (I doubt it) it'll be after this game.

For precisely that reason I'd be delighted to include Julien in a package for a 2024-only ace starter. I love Julien in much the same way that I love Luis Arraez.

The looking at strike three with two strikes almost seems like a Lester situation (pitcher who can't make a throw to first base), complete mental block at this point.

Don't know if any of you are aware, but the Lego store at the Mall of America was closed for weeks for repairs. It just reopened today, and it was a huge event.

People were lined up for blocks.

I stepped on that one so bad it hurt.

Time for the Twins to rise to the occasion—the Twins face an elite pitcher on the road. The right handed hitters need to peck away at Skubal, maybe getting him out after six innings, and Ryan needs to hold down the Kitties.

I'm sure there were numerous arguments, kids fighting and pulling sets away from each other shouting "LEGO."
