The excuse will be that we have a doubleheader. So Willie Castro got the guy out. It still sends a bad message to the team and the fans. You're telling Jackson that we have no confidence in you to throw 6 more pitches and get 1 more out. You're telling your fans that the game is a joke and that this is a clown show.

Yes it's just 1 game and we're only 11 games in. But this is nonsense and a poor way to move ahead.

A little odd with the move to Castro? I guess, with 3 games in next 2 days, he wants to try and keep Jackson available…….another 6-10 pitches and he probably can’t be used today at all. There was no logical benefit to leave him in and maybe letting Vazquez play 3B lightened the mood in the dugout in a lost cause situation? Just precautionary & no harm done.

Our bats are the problem, not the managing.

Tonkin (I didn’t see every pitch) had 5 K’s and it looked like he had a couple scratch hits against him. Potentially, another reasonable depth guy? Can’t give up 2 walks in 2 innings though.

Correa out of our mediocre line-up is the real issue after last night!! Gotta be 3 weeks minimum.

ANY news on Lee’s back injury. Rehabbing yet. Any potential timing?……..same with Larnach?

No, only because the white sox exist. They are completely, utterly, totally devoid of talent.

Don't worry, we'll fix that for the ShySox when we play 'em.

Reminiscent of last year especially the bats. They held 500 thanks to the pitching, but there were many comments like "they'll be in 3rd place by May 1st". When that didn't happen it was changed to "they'll be in 3rd place by June 1st, etc, etc.

We'll see, right? Lol

This is going downhill fast.  And I was wrong about Wallner.  He needs a reset, fast.  If only he was the only one....

It IS going downhill fast.  The only news that could push it lower than it already is would be something wrong with Pablo Lopez and an impending IL stint coming.  Still, baseball is a LONG season.  There is time for the Twins to right the ship.  I keep hearing that Funderburk might get sent down once the bullpen returns to full health and I just don't understand it.  He was one of their most impressive guys coming out of the pen last year and he is once again.  I think Funderburk is a keeper.

The difference being, "They'll be in 3rd place by June 1st" is now what the ceaselessly optimistic crowd is saying.

I wonder who is on a plane from MSP to DTW this morning. Or is it someone flying in from ICT?

Helman? What's the 40 man move to make that happen. His numbers are not great but he can play anywhere defensively.

Emmanuel Rodriquez? Making the jump from AA. He's killing it right now and already on the 40. Awfully young but we don't have an obvious choice to fill an open 26 man spot.

Severino? He hasn't gotten off the best start... Actually... it could be defined as a really really bad start with the Saints.

Lee? Hurt

Larnach? Hurt

Who else?

I wondering if it is possible to auto fill our comments from last year. Instead of summarizing another awful performance by our team, we could have highlight videos of the Twins all time greatest plays/games.

Wow...could this be a last place team? Whether it's due to injuries, or just plain inept play, this team is pretty bad right now.

No way. The Central is a cakewalk! 😄 Well at least to the supposed experts. The signs were all there. No one took any notice. It's not too late. But the is ticking.

Jair Camargo and Woods Richardson up, Correa on the IL, Tonkin out. It's official. Also Matt Bowman up.

Camargo? That's mildly surprising, is something up with Jeffers or Vazquez?

Thanks for remembering my comment on Spring Training.  I was really frustrated by it.  We seemed to be more interested in getting the scrubs playing time than getting our regulars to find their bats and arms.

I was told a fair number of time Spring Training is meaningless, talk was cheap.

Larnach played last night; I think at single A.  They certainly could use Lee right now.
