I wonder if a team has made a trade with the team they are playing during a game?

If a gent is a second baseman and is traded for the othe teams second baseman, do they just exchange places and hatd?

That is a very depressing lineup. I was hoping for at least 2-3 names to not be there anymore. But there's still 45 minutes left to hope,

Buxton has a nice day and moved right back to 4 hole.  No pressure in 6 hole and for one game looked good.  Leave him there

Not during a game, but players have swapped dugouts before and after a game many times.

How long does it take a team to announce a trade after the trade deadline expires? I know they have to have it to the commissioners office by 5pm CT...I wonder if the Twins even did anything. All I hear are crickets...

It's not. Falveys sticking to his spring training guns. I guess the big move is Lopez for Floro by default

Even if you believe the current collection of talent can win the division title, you can't possibly believe they could muster anything in the playoffs.  At the very least, they should have tried to shore up some areas, for a possible post season.

I know the Twins tried really hard to get help in the bullpen. And the price for those RH hitting corner OF was just too steep. But they worked tirelessly to make it happen.  Alas, things just didn't work out.

When Kirilloff hurt his shoulder I went to baseball reference to see how often Wallner has played 1B. He has the size. I was disappointed to see he did not play there in college or the minors. He did pitch in college but has otherwise been an outfielder. He throws right handed and has an arm but no experience at 3B either. It’s possible they looked at him at first base and assessed it wasn’t a fit but they really need a Gallo alternative other than Solano while Kirilloff is out.
