I was happy that the Twins were able to keep Buxton and Correa. Now I wish that they could be unloaded to teams that would take on their contracts.

Id keep Correa over Buxton every day of the week.  Correa provides great D at least and I see him turning things around with the bat far more then Buxton.

Buxton cant play D.  Thats a fact.  Buxton is racing towards .200 with the bat.  If, big if, he gets on base he cant steal a base.

He's advertized as a 5 tool guy.  Hes not.

This has to be the worst game of the year ....

No momentum coming out of the Allstar break  ...

This game shows exactly what we are going to get in the second half ...

Sellers at the deadline  and cleveland will be 5  games up and leading the division  ...

I had doubt that lineup was in trouble  this spring but never expected it to be this bad ,,,

I think that the Twins should be sellers at the trade deadline.

I dont think we have to worry about trading away any bats....

Gray may be the most likely candidate to head somewhere.  He's having a solid year, making the ASG, and I believe he's a free agent next year meaning the Twins either ship him no or run the very serious risk of getting nothing in return.

I hear where you’re going, but I suspect they will keep him and make the Qualifying Offer.

Yikes!!  A tiny sliver of hope after the closed door meeting only to get even worse when that didn’t seem possible.  0-6 with RISP to go with 11 strikeouts.  Our hitters don’t have the ability to work a count. The hitters RARELY give the pitchers a few run lead to work with. Hick 3-run HR brought back memories of one of the worst trades EVER basically gave Hicks away. I think they had to make room for Buxton but they could have moved Hicks to RF and given up Kepler.  Obviously they don’t get it, was JR Murphy really good and tanked right away with the Twins.   Better not lay the blame for this pathetic game just on the pitching. Without them we would be WAY under .500, maybe in the .300’s.  Finally this is turning out to be just like last year lead the ALC for the first half and then let Cleveland or possibly Detroit take it from here.  Should Rocco be let go after getting swept at home.  I think any manager should be!

May well be true, but I'd be very surprised if he accepted it.

If we keep playing the way we have I think you are spot on with the lead.  Its a manageable 2nd half of July for Cleveland with a series against Chicago and KC,

While I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment, my guess is that Rocco is probably safe through the end of the season.  After that, it's anybody's guess.

Almost always watch on TV.  Something told me "Don't do it,"  So I got a bunch of work done around the house.   Then I checked the score.  God!

Same here.

Agreed.

And based on how he’s done, he shouldn’t. He’s setting himself up well for a multi year deal.

Can’t wait to hear Rocco’s post game interview

I was just thinking the exact same thing.  I bet he'll be doing the old soft shoe on this one...dancing all over the place.  I don't know how many ways he can say "we got our ass kicked today".

I had to do yard work so did not see the game, at that; the Orioles beat the Yankees 14-1 before they played the Twins, so in a way, this is no surprise.

Twins should have Cruz back at DH, if for no other reason,  when he was here the Twins did not act like Possums, no  moral support.

La Tortuga and Cruz had mojo.

Twins definitely were terrible today.    Very embarrassing and disappointing!

I’m watching MLB draft on TV.      I’m rooting for Twins to draft Max Clark.     We will see whom Twins draft.

Not for nothing...the O's took infield.

But not our Twins.

This will never fail to disappoint me.

Hindsight being 20/20…. Really bad look to not take infield before a red-assed beat down. What a shameful display.

For me it's a larger issue than just today's beat down. Today's game isn't the point. It's Rocco's complete lack of anything resembling building a real team.

They don't take regular infield, they don't take regular BP. Players aren't asked to actually play every game.

Rocco and/or the front office don't feel the need to bother their players with tried and true techniques to hone their craft.

Meanwhile, real big-league managers have their 2nd place in the ALE team out there in the sun on a Sunday get away day right before the AS break taking BP and infield.

And there's Rutschman, catching back to back games. Santander still in RF in the 9th inning of a 15-2 game.

Meanwhile Rocco can't wait to get his 'stars' back in the shade and on the bench.

I'm so done with Baldelli. Sooooooo done.

Perfectly, eloquently, and excellently stated. Brilliant!
