Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Every few years we ask why these players aren’t wearing more equipment, both pitchers and batters. I guess it’s time for that conversation again.

I like the new theme song, even if it doesn’t really sing about watching baseballs soar, knocking out home runs, shouting hip hoorays

I haven't been paying close enough attention to this, but haven't players coming up from the minors over the last couple of years required to have the chin protector on their batting helmets?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Author Posted April 12, 2023 Famer left the game with a "jaw injury" according to the radio crew.

I don't think it's required, but I'm seeing more and more players with them

You are required to have a ear protector in the bigs, but there is no rule on what side it has to be on.

Robert Floren Verified Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Come on Twins, is every pitcher you face an Ace? Don't think so. Two simple rules: See the Ball, Hit the Ball.

Nivaboy Verified Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Not able to watch or listen to the game, just have the play by play pulled up at my desk. Is there a reason Gray left after 5? I see he only threw 78 pitches
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Alcala better not throw that change up up and in again if he wants to keep the ball in the park.
