Maybe in olden times it was too difficult to keep track of what happened in the early innings?  No computers and the rain would wipe the ink off the scorecards?  We should ask Chief.

Too be fair I believe they might have had papyrus by then, although I think it was expensive and hard to come by,  I think you would only use it for a play-off game.

You know the way Twins fans feel when we are watching the Twins play the Royals, Orioles, and A's?

That's how Astros fans feel when they're playing the Twins. A far inferior team with no confidence against better competition, low-hanging fruit, just easy wins for the picking. Your team gets up early and you can relax because the only question is whether you'll win by double-digits.

Absent some positive changes, I think that this game may be a preview of what will happen if the Twins get to the playoffs.

Passing on all the good FA starting pitching for some dumpster finds seems to be working as expected. Not sure why Flavine continue to think it's going to somehow work after so many fails.

They do if it doesn't get through 5 innings and they don't restart tonight.

EDIT: They did change it for the shortened 2020 season, but I can't find if the rule stays in place. The article I read says "as of now, this rule is only in place for the 2020 season."
