I think if they don’t make it 5 full innings it’s wiped clean and they start 0-0 tomorrow. Could be wrong.

Yep, that's what I said earlier in the thread. I'm sure the Astros will be more than happy to restart at 11, but the Twins will push for the rain out. Either way, I expect to see Celestino in CF whenever this game resumes.

I wonder why this rule exists in the first place. What good does it do to re-do the game instead of picking up where they left off?

Maybe in olden times it was too difficult to keep track of what happened in the early innings?  No computers and the rain would wipe the ink off the scorecards?  We should ask Chief.
