Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 I’m sure Emilio pagan is a great guy but he should never be put into another save situation earlier than the 12th inning
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Pagan has gone to the limit like that twice and came out on top. That, friends, is walking the tightrope.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 That last pitch would have walked in the tying run if the batter hadn't swung.

cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Okay but fr, Pagan should not be closing anymore. With a 1-run lead in the ninth we should be going to Duran.

Jeffers framed a borderline pitch. This was a really good pitch from Pagan, but you aren't going to come out ahead that often in that situation.
MadHits Verified Member Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Always fun when you think your heart could explode but we get the win! Winder is the real deal and Jose stepped up huge in this game. Keep the home winning streak going guys.

Difference was, I could sort of see his strategy the other time. This time, he was playing with fire through the heart of the batting order.
Sielk Verified Member Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Man, I couldn't even stomach watching the end of it. Glad it worked out! Pagan is stressful and I hate to watch him. If you get hit, you get hit but make them beat you instead of walking a few and losing on a bloop single. Luckily, the latter part didn't happen today and thus, a fun game. Miranda get's his first homer, Lewis his first hit, Winder is a stud and the future (which is also the present!) looks great! Switching over to the Wild now. They just scored. 3-0. Are we allowed to have a fun night as MN sports fans?

Unwinder Verified Member Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 That was a fun game to be at, but has not raised my confidence in Pagan closing. Sad I missed my guy Miranda homering. Glad to see my guy Winder shoving. Lewis looks like he belongs. Fun to see so much future on display.

It just seems that every time he hits multiple homers or a monster shot in a game, it goes for naught in a Twin's loss. Really?

I swear this has been my screen name on every website since 2008. But on the other hand, I don't trust this "Winder" fellow. Seems fishy to me!
