  1. IDK if it was a typo but Cotton came in and faced the top 3 hitters and didn't give up a run. Defiantly my player of the game. Hopefully he gets rewarded with a longer look with the Twins. Buxton and Miranda breaking out would be huge for this extended tour against the best of the AL east. Should be interesting to see how the Bundy vs Berrios matchup goes tomorrow.
  2. Megill and Gordon CO-POTG. After the barn got burned down tonight, tomorrow should be interesting with Archer going 4 at best. Not having a day off until the 6th looms large, with a doubleheader in the mix.
  3. 21-15 after last year's debacle and people still won't chill.? The way Rocco has dealt with so many injuries and a patchwork of arms is commendable. I feel that a managers top priority is keeping players happy, by putting them in a spot to succeed and fostering a tightknit clubhouse. Overall it's up to the players to perform when given the opportunity. Last year Rocco stuck with Colome as the closer too long to the detriment of the team. This year he's learned from that debacle and has been effective rotating Duffey, Duran and Pagan. For me it's the ownership and front office that has put Rocco in this situation this year and last. There really isn't much margin for error when you depend on reclamation projects to fill out a staring rotation. Or bet on Paddack avoiding a second TJ surgery in exchange for our best reliever. To be fair though, I never thought this would be a year where we could get to the playoffs. The front office finally has some young pitching contributing now and more on the way. I'm hoping this year sets the Twins up for an impactful deal or two at the deadline and the youth movement takes off next year. I'm definitely for Rocco overseeing this turnover.
  4. I’m hoping the Duff man is settling in. He had a great appearance tonight. He would be my choice for closer if he makes another good showing. His heater was up tonight which makes his other offerings work. Duran would be my other choice with the filthy offerings he employs. It’s the debate between experience and pure stuff. Pagan is walking too many to sustain a close down role. Great win tonight. Winder is a revelation. Can’t wait to see his next start. I hope we get to see Royce again tomorrow and Miranda was the difference maker tonight. The future is bright even if this year shows growing pains.
  5. Woooo good news!! We get to see Royce and Carlos is going to be fine?
  6. Sounds like Correa has a broken finger. We'll find out tomorrow if he's going to be out for a couple months or longer if it requires surgery.? Twins seem to have picked up some bad juju in Baltimore, I hope they don't bring it home with them. On the bright side Lewis has been great so I'd assume we get to see him in a Twins uni tomorrow. Kirilloff hasn't looked good in his return though. It'll be interesting to see who takes Arraez's spot.
  7. I believe he was feeling under the weather, non covid related at the time.
  8. Congrats to Jose! He's got a great approach at the plate and being solid at first and 3rd is huge. Sano obv has been frustrating but I've always been huge fan of his. It's weird to think that he may have a hard time getting back in the lineup if Miranda settles in. I'm really loving the Larnach, Jeffers tandem at the bottom of the line-up. Jeffers seems to be benefiting from being in the line-up everyday and has been integral to the winning streaks. Great to see Joe Ryan handle the adversity and give us another legendary reaction after that comebacker. Winning is fun!
  9. Great stat on Ryan with the most strikeouts in Twins history through nine games. The rook is pitching like a seasoned vet. I love how he works fast and in the zone, and by the way the D played behind him tonight I'd say they prob appreciate it too. Max is so hot right now and is starting to get some oppo hits. I Shoulda called the Jeffer's bomb in the chat cause Pineda was feeding him meatballs. Great to see more guys stepping up at the plate, hopefully Correa and Polonco aren't far behind.
  10. Awesome, Thanks! Just saw Ted's new post too, seems like Alex thinks his wrist is feeling better than before but I wonder if that's just the cortisone talking.
  11. Great to see Royce is playing the best ball of his MiLB career, pretty remarkable considering he missed the last two seasons. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with the Correa opt outs if Royce keeps this up. Looks like Smeltzer is ready for the call up, but who's place does he take with the upcoming roster crunch? Definitely worried about Kirilloff. Has there been any news on how his wrist has felt since his return?
  12. Grossman def made a poor read on the ball but Sano sent a screamer to right field, the catcher throwing to third was the gift.
