Reporting today indicates compromises on the International Draft/QO dispute, and pretty darn tiny gaps on the economic issues.  If they can simply split the difference on those, a deal could get done today or tomorrow.

I am really looking forward to some baseball this spring. so put this deal to bed folks.

Overall, baseball ended up in a pretty good place, IMO. While I would have preferred vastly increased revenue sharing with a salary floor/ceiling, that was shooting for the moon. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the situation (other than the process of getting here), particularly the 2023 rules changes, which I whole-heartedly support.

With the higher luxury tax ceiling and incentives to stop screwing with young players' service time, it seems likely the gulf between the haves and (those pretending to be) have nots is going to grow. If it becomes an even more glaring problem, hopefully everyone will be compelled to fix this next CBA.
