ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Josh Hader is possessed by the devil and he needs to be investigated.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 I’m racking my brain to think of a worse opening day loss, but I can’t come up with one
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 161 more contests of torture to come? Are you kidding me?
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 As was previously mentioned, Kyle Gibson, with a 5-0 lead, got exactly one out in the bottom of the first, while giving up 4 hits and 3 walks. His ERA is 135, and his WHIP is 21.
jun Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 This might not be the season we expect.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 This is entirely on Colome. Not his fault, but you can't put Dobnak into an extra inning game. Not with the runner on 2nd.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Being from Minnesota, I know a choke when I see one
kydoty Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 How many times do I have to say it? In that situation, you walk the bases loaded to put a force on every base because no matter what, you’re going home with the ball if it’s put in play. Cain would’ve been out had they done so.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 There was one out and nobody on in the 9th
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Oh well. I guess we'll have to settle for 161-1
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Brewers bring out Hader to lock us down. We bring out Dobnak. Pitching depth may be a concern.
jun Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Dobnak cannot even get anyone out. Garver and Cave are pathetic at the plate. Defense might not be that good after all.
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Well-deserved loss - sloppy fielding - so many strikeouts. Pulled defeat out of the jaws of victory - Good news is we have 161 more. Bad news is this is looking a lot like our playoff defeats.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Okay... So what did we learn from this game?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Brewers bring out Hader to lock us down. We bring out Dobnak. Pitching depth may be a concern. To be fair we used our best relievers in the middle of the game because our starter couldn’t even go 5. Sounds a lot like last year
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Okay... So what did we learn from this game?Australia also has a Pacific coast.
Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Who handed out the chicken bones in the dugout??
jun Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Bullpen is going to be a problem this year.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Okay... So what did we learn from this game? That there's always next year?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 After a loss like this, everyone needs to just take a deep breath, and remember that baseball is a team game. And that Colome is awful.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 They really had 17 strikeouts?just in the 10th inning.
Twodogs Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Bullpen is going to be a problem this year.Especially if our starters can't go 7 innings. Because most likely we will run out 4 relievers tomorrow and at least 4 more the next day. By the end of the year everyone will have plenty of at bats vs these guys.
