USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Sano-zee rounding back into mid season form.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 You take it as the high leverage situations come, and don't hold your best relievers back for fear of higher leverage situation that may or may not happen later. That's fine and all, I'm just saying you can't know when the highest leverage situations will be, only where they were. So it makes far more sense to put your pitchers in the situations where they are most likely to succeed, as Rocco did with Rogers (2 out of 3 due up in his inning were lefties).
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 I don't even know why you were doing this, but I gave it a Like anyway because you were able to post afterward.lol ... well ... I ordered my extra innings package yesterday ... as far as I knew, it was a go, according to the person I talked to ... at noonish today, I try and find the channels and they aren't there, reset the cable boxes (yes, I have cable, it's part of my assessments), still no channels, call xfinity again, 'oh, you need updated cable boxes and remotes to get those channels. it's no charge to swap them out.' Either I did it myself, today, or wait for a service agent to come out next week ... so, I did it myself. And only have a little bit of a headache for the adventure
Diesel Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Looks like Robles has his velo back. He was a 97-99 FB pitcher prior to last year
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Still bummed about Donaldson getting injured in the first. My office pool money was on "En route to the ballpark".
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 The radar gun has to be hot, right? I didn't think Rodgers threw 98 nor Robles 97...

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 End of 8th. Down to 1 inning. How we making out on length of game?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 I got a headache reading that.heh, it didn't help mine in the retelling
Diesel Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Dick just mentioned the Milwaukee gun appears to be hot. Robles has been known to throw that quick in the past, Rogers on the other hand.....

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Author Posted April 1, 2021 Not sure why the booth is worked up over Robles sitting 97. When he was effective in 19 he was sitting at 97.1. That is the reason he was so ineffective last year (FB velo of 95.4). If he can reharness the 97-98 velo he's a steal. Great start in 2021.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 End of 8th. Down to 1 inning. How we making out on length of game?Checking the MLB rule book, it appears 9 innings is still the standard.

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 ((Frantically searches baseball ref for any player named Gretel to make obvious joke...))We now regret the trade for Kenta Maeda, because we could have had the bullpen tandem of Hansel and Graterol.
