I cannot possibly more embarrassed for a sports team than I am for the Twins.  How is it possible for a group of professionals to look so hopeless in the playoffs?

As an engineer, I appreciate being data-driven, but is that really what we're witnessing with Rocco?  I feel like he thinks way too much and tries to get cute

He won't be back here either way. You can take that one to the bank.

The Rays and pretty much every NL team will be interested if there is a universal DH. So I'd agree with you.

When people complain about the Twins never being on Sunday Night Baseball, or the Fox Game of the Week, or why nobody takes the Twins seriously.

Well, this is why.

The postseason matters. More than the regular season. Way more. MUCH more. The regular season is fun, it's daily entertainment, but it's ultimately only to get you to where you want to be...in the post season. Maybe you don't think that should be the case, or don't like that. but it does.

So what narrative will we go with later?

A) It was an odd season and nobody could be expected to thrive under such conditions

or

B) This team is just especially unlucky ... look at the peripheral numbers

or

C) Given everything they went through over the course of the season, 2020 is an unmitigated success

I mean, at this point, if you can’t even beat a team under .500, I’m not sure there’s a better matchup possible

This is so disheartening. Losing 2-0 to the depleted Astros after they fumbled their way through the regular season. Will the misery ever end?

Not until one of our vaunted prospects actually pans out. Buxton and Sano. Neither are Kirby Puckett.

In fact, both are extremely disappointing. It seems as if their "ERA" might turn out to be just as disappointing as the M&M boys.

Guts and heart aren't something everyone has....

I hate the thought that my last moment with Rosario as a Twin will be him drawing a clutch walk then having a jackhole-of-an-umpire take it away from him unfairly and striking out swinging on a pitch that was out of the zone, but inside the stupid umps imaginary zone.

I thought missing the Yankees would shield me a bit from this level of anger and frustration.

Nope.

I guess I just specifically, only like regular season baseball. The playoffs are not fun when they always feel like this.

We all know they will push C. Hang a banner, celebrate! ALC Champs baby!

At the end of the day these guys don't care about a losing streak. They go home and collect millions

I don’t believe they don’t care, playoffs are fun

Might help not to throw on the outside part of the plate when the shift is on so it doesn't encourage the hitter to be fundamental.

I actually know a couple of guys who have pitched in the majors. One of them had that exact argument with his manager after a game because yes these guys throw stuff like changeups that dive away from left handed hitters as out pitches and they get weak contact and the shifts do not play well in those situations. Guys like Rogers throw sliders that move a lot and hit off of the ends of bats etc..... And then these guys hit 0 - 2 pitches that would normally be outs and they get weak hits. Twins guys strike out, the shift works great on strike outs but the guys who put the ball in play beat the shifts a lot.

Second year in a row I subscribed to SlingTV, used it to watch two games, and now will be stuck paying for it for three months because my wife saw it includes the Hallmark Channel, and she wants Hallmark Christmas movies.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...
