ewen21 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 The Twins always get disrespected in a way the Vikings don't. I don't get it. To talk about disrespect while we are on our way to lose our 11th straight post season game to this team seems a little out of court to me. How about we win first and worry about respect from the national media second?
howeda7 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 0-13 vs yankees perhaps?Perhaps. But we don't get "here come the plucky Vikings, trying again to win the NFC championship game. How cute."
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Smoltz makes a good point there. The team that wins this series will score more runs. Not necessarily.https://www.baseball-reference.com/postseason/1960_WS.shtml
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Littel and Stashak have good numbers but not very impressive stuff.and here I thought feasting on KC and Detroit the final month woulda prepared em for tonite /sar
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I'm not worked up. Said it wasn't our night. So far it's not.Fair enough. Still game to be played though.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 You're committing Duffey to another inning in a game you trail, meaning he's done until at least Monday. Not to mention, as you noted, it's the middle innings. Somebody's gotta pitch the end of the game, too. Littel and Stashak are in the bullpen, they're gonna have to pitch in this series. Rocco made the right call. Duffey threw 20 high stress pitches. It was another pitcher's job to take over from there. Agreed, second guessing Rocco bringing in those guys doesn't make a ton of sense. Those other guys need to get the job done. Ideally Littel and Stashak do their jobs, game is still tied and Duffy is still available later tonight.

But we don’t deserve respect

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Yes Eddie, you swung...........again.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Wow, Judge flashing the leather again!
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Defense............yah, it helps.

Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 OK, I’m just gonna say it: Aaron Judge can either start doing human like things, or he can be tried as the interstellar alien imposter that he truly is. There, I said it.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 iI couldn’t believe they took him out for another rookie. Too risky and Duffey was in a groove. At least give hi, a batter or two. Rocco has done really well this year, but a lot to ask of two rookie pitchers in high leverage in NY.WAY TO MUCH TO ASK,

There, I said it. It was a good catch, but it wasn't spectacular. Judge is very human.
Blake Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Author Posted October 5, 2019 Great play by Aaron Judge. I can't dislike Mr. Judge, because, by all accounts, he's a really good guy.
